Scary in Sacramento, PLUS Dishevelment in Boston

People afraid of Artest coming to town need to refocus their apprehension towards this lady:

It was especially hard for Tara Holait of Woodland, who treated the Stojakovic trade news like a death in the family. She said she abruptly left her work as a mail carrier, hurried home, sobbing, packaged all of her Kings garb and threw it out, about $2,000 worth. She said the trade left her "feeling betrayed."

"I'm heartbroken," she said by phone. "Peja's done so much for us. I'm a foreigner like he was, from India. He means everything to people like me."

If we see an effigy of Gavin Maloof hanging from a streetlamp in front of Morrison's, we should probably get the police involved.

Meanwhile, tonight's opponent may have bigger problems than us right now, as Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks and Justin Reed is off to Minnsota for Wally Sczerbiak, Stockton's Best #1 Overall Pick Michael Olowokandi and D-leaguer Dwayne Jones. Picks were also exchanged.

I doubt Wally-World or Kandi-Man will be ready tonight, so it should be Artestamento verus Paul and the Kids. This could end up being a real ugly, sloppy game.

But who cares? I haven't been this excited for a game since... last week's Laker game.

Women connected to Peja...
...for the most part. My wife was tired of his disappearing act this season.  She's the exception - most of the ladies in my office were mortified about the trade, and honestly visually upset.

Lets face it, Peja was the pool boy in a lot of their fantasies.  :)

Hey, I was in favor of trading him,
but I still shed tears when he was traded.  And as corny as this sounds, it felt like a piece of my heart was taken away... and not because I find Peja attractive.  Now, if Francisco was traded instead, I would have gone on a killing spree or something.  ;-)

I was more upset that we got Artest for him, but I guess that's the best value we could get, considering Peja's contract.

GO KINGS!!!

It's like...
It's like Tyson-Holyfield III!  (Sorry, but the "Ron Artest is crazy" jokes will NEVER get old to me.)

Probably the best thing about this trade.
We can probably rely on Artest jokes for roughly three months. By then, we should without doubt have some new Bonzi and Ron-Ron material.

Could anything better than Bonzi + Ron-Ron happen to NBA fans? Too bad Damon Jones still isn't around, though his grill may not have lasted a week.
