Ronnie F. Price

I hope this performance gets Ronnie Price some minutes this season.

(But yeah, I don't think I recognize one guard that played for Dallas's squad, other than Darius Washington, who seems destined for Greece. So, you know, grain of salt.)

Re: Ronnie F. Price
From past experience, I don't think one can judge too much from summer league. It simply isn't close enough talent-wise to actual NBA caliber play.

Re: Ronnie F. Price
True, but I think we saw enough glimpses of potential in Price's limited play last season that most of us would rather see him get a shot at some backup PG minutes, rather than JHart.

Interestingly enough, Quincy Douby got decent reviews playing at the point from ESPN:

Re: Ronnie F. Price
I beg to differ.  Amare Stoudemire played on the Suns' Rocky Mountain Review team in 2002.  Off that one game, I knew he was going to be a STAR in the league and would win rookie of the year.

I read these articles they're writing about him and how much he's improved even after the surgery.  The fact he can go left now, he's passing better, and has more range.  It doesn't surprise me.

Now, Ronnie Price is no Amare, but if Ronnie wants to, he can take this one game and ride the wave into a back-up spot at the point for the Kings that is ripe for the taking if he wants it.

31 is is good....
....but he was pretty up and down in general. He had mostly okay games and this one excellent one.

Re: Ronnie F. Price
Frankly, I like Ronnie Price, I would have liked to seen him play more last season, & Jason less.

I think Jason got more playing time because Rick Adelman felt he had more scoring potential...I think that Ronnie is a better defensive prospect, I like how much he enjoys the challenge  of staying in front of a guy like a minnie ronron.

& I think if he got more minutes at backup, his shooting would get more consistent, & he would relax better. Do you all remember when the Cisko kid wasn't getting very many minutes & when he came in, he would rush ill-advised jumpers at first because he was so impatient to prove that he deserved to be on the court?I think what happened in the regular season last year with Ronnie was like that.More court time would remedy that.
