5 / 4 that are gone (updated as of 07/05/06)

just a short list of 5's and 4's that have signed

Nene

Radmanovic (though a really a 3)

Pryzbilla and Mohammed

Chandler

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2510218

On the block/free agents:
Malgoire
Murphy (i know, he doesn't solve our problems)
Keyon Martin

Wilcox
Songilia (sp?) apparently wants to come back
gooden

Personally, I believe Nene was the best free agent this year given his age and ability (though coming off knee surgery).  Not only is he quick, he can run, block, rebound, play D, provide an inside presence etc... Everything we needed in a big is Nene.  I don't know what petrie is going to do, but no more slow (lacking quickness) Bigs like Ostertag.

Re: 5 / 4 that are gone
The burger definitely would've won had I not just eaten dinner.

We can't rule out going to war with the team that got us here. (Where?) Is Potapenko usable? Can one of these undrafted rookies going to summer camp fill a need?

Re: 5 / 4 that are gone
since adelman loved the 8 man rotation, i haven't really seen potapenko (so cal college = espn/tnt) do anything.  price wise and offensively, i'm leaning toward wilcox but his D seems like the rest of the group (martin, chandler, magloire) in that they need to focus more and/or stay out of foul trouble.  No comment on Pryzbilla (he wasn't good on my fantasy team)

Re: 5 / 4 that are gone
You didn't miss much with Potapenko. And I think Wilcox is a mortal lock to re-sign with Seattle.

How the Chandler situation bears out will be intriguing. If New Orleans does get him to replace the ancient PJ Brown, many a soul will pick the Hornets for the playoffs. Chris Paul/?/Peja/David West/Chandler is not horrible.

Re: 5 / 4 that are gone
now with chandler to man the boards... the hornets are a scary team... i saw them against the clippers and during the 3rd; they had open looks but no one hit any J's (also they turned it over a billion times w/out paul in the game) or get any boards (brand > any hornet).  but now with peja and chandler to clean up some of the misses; paul with provide them enough chances to score.
