Maurice Taylor: Waived

Stay connected for news and updates

(Maurice Taylor is no longer a Sacramento King. I don't exactly understand why he was ever a King in the first place, but at least give Geoff Petrie and crew credit enough for realizing it was a mistake and cutting the strings. Good riddance to a guy who couldn't get in shape, couldn't stay off drugs, and couldn't play a lick of quality ball. -TZ)

KINGS WAIVE MO TAYLOR

I think this move was not just because of the poor performance this season by Taylor. It signifies perhaps a gradual approach to the youth movement. It all but guarantees a spot of the roster for Justin Williams for rest of the year. The Kings would have waived Potapenko but his salary was too steep, so waiving Taylor made the most sense. Do not be surprised in the future if the Kings decide to request waivers on Jason Hart as well.

What do you think waiving Mo suggests?
