Uh-oh... I hope Ron-Ron doesn't look at stats.

Uh-oh I hope.... oh wait just read the title. Believe it or not, Ron Artest is the league leader in 3pt FG%. Ex-sqeeze-me, baking-powder?? You heard me, good Lord I hope Ron-Ron does not see this and go buckwild. I'm sure Mr. Artest is an avid reader of StR so I suppose I let the cat outta the bag here... sorry guys I didn't mean it, honest. Anyways, I'm sure nobody minds seeing an efficient 3-pt-shooting Ron but somehow I can just feel this as an impetus to jack-it-up.

He's leading because Brian Skinner's stats have not posted yet...but I'm not bitter and I think that's the important thing.

I think it's becoming more and more clear that the reason the perennial Artest-in-the-post experiment keeps failing is that Artest's offensive strengths are all on the perimeter.

U obviously see a different Ron-Ron  than we do.

I think MB has it partly right -- Ron's strengths aren't necessarily on the perimeter, but it's certainly a huge part of his offensive arsenal. And I'd dare say it's the part of his game he works on the most.

Re: Uh-oh... I hope Ron-Ron doesn't look at stats.
I'm not saying Ron is a great perimeter player...he's definitely a chucker (ignoring his performance so far this season).  But some players have the right instincts to score in the post and some don't, and from what we've seen over the years, Ron doesn't.  I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's late enough in his career that we can safely say Ron will always be a streaky perimeter player on the offensive end.  I still think he's a helluva player when you look at everything else he brings every night.

Okay that's a more accurate statement and one I'd be more inclined to agree with.
