If Bonzi Wells plays and doesn't go double-double, I'll be shocked.

If Kevin Martin doesn't drop 25, I'll be shocked.

If Yao Ming doesn't drop 30 and 15, I'll be mildly surprised.

If the Kings win, I'll be mildly surprised.

7 pm start. Go Kings.

UPDATE: Ron Artest is in town and will play.

What I'd like to see:

Kmart have 4 solid quarters, no Peja-like disappearing act. It's going to take calling some plays for him, and Ron passing out of double teams, instead of tossin up fall aways.

Continued solid play by Miller and continued improvement by Moore.

Protect the ball like the SA game, not like the GS game.

Artest is clearly the best player on the team at this point. He may not score as much as Martin but he is just a bull. The Rockets are dictating what K-Mart is going to do today on the court. Ron-Ron is telling the Rockets what he is gonna do...can you stop it? So far not really.

I guess I mean I'd like Kevin to go for his shot more. At the end of the shotclock the Kings look for Artest not Martin.

cheers to sactown royalty! NBA TV here in the philippines doesn't feature sacto much. here, i get to read up on the action during games. it's like having a friend who's watching it live and i get to call him every five minutes.

you can listen to the Kings radio broadcast for free on NBA.com, if you didn't know. That's what I do, listen and watch the ESPN gamecast.

Ron Artest is a phenomenal one-on-one defender. Not new news but just thought I'd throw it out there. He is shutting T-Mac down, while crushing him in the post on offense. Keep it up.

50-40 Rockets at half. Overall you have to be pleased with the effort. The defensive scheme is working so far... double Yao, help on T-Mac, and hope they miss their open jumpers/layups. The Kings better shore up the D or those open looks are going to start to fall. Shawes and Artest seem to play off of each other well. John Salmons is finding a way to contribute. Offensive and defensive rebounding is going above-average. There is a chance to win, but Beno and/or K-Mart need to provide a little more backcourt scoring for the Kings. First team to 100 wins tonight so baskets might be at a premium in the second half. Prediction 102-98 Kings.

So.... Martin is 2-7 and Artest has twice the points of any other King. Are those related items, or is Artest picking up the slack?

Artest is playing well and Kevin cannot get the ball. He is being covered very well and cannot (or will not) create his own shot. Kevin hasn't really had a square shot yet tonight. Most of his jumpers are fade-aways coming around screens so he is off balance.

Kings on a little run and still maintain a 4 pt lead. The game is like streetball but the Kings are doing well. The Kings might struggle late if they don't concentrate better on offense.

Since it's just me talking to myself I would like to say to myself that I reiterate my ealier claim the Matt Bullard sucks as an announcer. Please bring back "The Glide." If the Kings weren't winning by 10 I would turn off these horrendous commentators.
