Beno Makes Bibby Immediately Expendable?

Stay connected for news and updates

Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News says so. Here's the relevant passage on Lil' Beno:

Beno Udrih's strong play for the Kings, including his 27 points against his former San Antonio team in a Sacramento win this past week, has scouts convinced that A) Mike Bibby will be dealt to Miami as soon as he's healthy and, B) Boston should have made a move for Tony Parker's ex-backup instead of entrusting the playmaking duties to inexperienced Rajon Rondo.

Udrih has played at a starter level of late (including 15/5/5 last night against Rafer Alston). But Miami can't afford to hand over Ricky Davis; are we back to the Jason Williams-Dorell Wright talks? Or Bibby and Hydra head (Shareef Abdur-Rahim?) for Williams, Udonis Haslem, and a pick? The problem this summer wasn't that Geoff Petrie wanted to keep Bibby until he had a suitable replacement for the starting lineup. It was that the offers weren't acceptable. I fail to see how Beno's changed that.
