GAME 17 vs Utah, Game Thread

I thought maybe we could end the universe on a high note, with the Kings' heavenly Rockets win. But my giant laser failed.

Utah visits at 7 pm. Go Kings.

Thank God TZ's giant laser failed.  To me, this was the best Kings win of the season.  RAWR!

Kevin Martin's signature play has got to be the three point play.

I'm getting an authentic Martin jersey for Christmas or at least I'm going to try.

77-74, Jazz. I'd take that now. We just need a 4th quarter like our 2nd. TG that Malone and Stockton are gone.

Kings up by 3 with 2 minutes to go. Any time you have a margin higher than the minutes... that's a good thing, but I won't be happy until the lead exceeds Zero, and the time says Zero...

Re: GAME 17 vs Utah
Can we all agree, however begrudgingly, on two things; Theus is a MUCH better adjustments coach than Musselman, which is a bit like comparing Kincade to Turner, but we'll take it. And Garcia is definitely developing into the shooter we'd hope he'd be. College kids always take three years to find their touch (unless you're Durant...)

Re: GAME 17 vs Utah
Theus is definitely better, by far. I think Melo and LBJ were better than Durant during their rookie campaign

Re: GAME 17 vs Utah, Game Thread
Playoffs will be tough. Assuming SA, Pho, Uta and Dal are locks. Kings would need to get ahead of two of: Hou, NO, Den, GS or LAL. Not sure who we could be better than on that list.

Re: GAME 17 vs Utah, Game Thread
Not to rain on the parade, because I do like our chances this year, but just so we don't get carried away, remember that least year's November was marked by wins of 93-81 over Minnesota, 99-86 over Detroit, and 93-80 over the Clippers. Let's not pull out the anointing oils just yet. Inversely December started with a 5 game losing streak so...

Also did anyway just her Kozimor call Garcia El Flaco? Is he secretly kingme18?

Re: GAME 17 vs Utah, Game Thread
Yeah, well the Kings won and played strong and with confidence in the fourth quarter.  You're entitled to be a little "off".  I know this was the first game this year where I screamed extensively (in a good way), and then cried a little after it was over.  (Hey! I'm a girl, sue me.)

A few more games like this one at home and their confidence will rise rapidly, that should translate into some road wins.  I can't wait.  I'm beginning to get excited over this season.

No, I don't expect them to win the championship or even make the playoffs, but this is becoming a hardworking team that doesn't take nights off and they are so freakin' fun to watch.  I really would have been okay with it if they'd lost, they were just playing so God damned hard it got me emotionally involved in the game.  I can't say that happened much last year.

All we need is a dependable power forward to go along with Brad and probably one more shooter to get to the playoffs.

Drew Gooden, Damon Jones, Ira Newble and no 1 for Bibby and Abdur-Rahim???
