Artest Agent: Musselman Young and Inexperienced
Just when you thought all was hunky dory in Ron-Ron's world, it looks like it's his agent this time who has opted to insert his boot into his facial orifice.
According to Artest's brilliant representative, Mark Stevens, the fact that coach Musselman said he didn't know where Artest was prior to Wednesday's game against Charlotte could mean only one thing: he's a rookie.
"(The coach) also said Ron had a sore knee as if he questioned Ron's pain. And after all Ron has played through this year. It shows the coach may be a little young and inexperienced."Never mind that Artest had a different excuse for staying out of the game just two contests prior. Never mind that Artest can't even remember to feed his dog. Never mind that Artest thinks he can rap and also be God's gift to basketball, and isn't best known for his communication skills. That Musselman didn't have Artest on a GPS-enabled ankle bracelet is clearly his fault.
And that barb? "After all he has played through"? I don't see him exactly coming in with a pair of casts. The one injury I remember, when he hurt his back, was because he was driving a Mercedes that was too small for him. Poor baby.

Sorry to rant - i'm out of coffee.
After all he has been through? Common now. Socks has been through more. Mike played through an injury to his shooting hand. Reef ate and breathed through wires and played last year. These guys get what an injury is. I would agree with critics that if I were on a team and one of my mates was bailing for personal reasons or a sore whatever repetedly, I would be miffed. I would roll my eyes in his general direction. So would Phil, Pop, Nellie or any other old coach with experience. Everyone in the NBA has sore knees, Ron's agent. Give Shawn Livingston's agent a jingle. Right before a game, I sure hope Muss was more focused on the location of the guys who were going to play.
As to Muss' DUI punishment. I'm admittedly pissed off on Dagwood Sandwich sized levels. He works out with athletes and yet he got off on an easy day or two of washing cars (at the worst) because of unclear health reasons. Hey Ron's agent - sound familiar in an asshatterly kinda way? Do you know where Muss was during this time or were you more concerned with bigger things like getting your boy to show up for a game?
The sad clincher is that the Sheriff's Department just admitted to anyone who has a DUI that they can lie on a health questionaire and get out of community service because they don't have time to check for valid ailments. Stellar example set by all parties involved. Commit a potentially deadly crime and then you can sit at home and order pizza and play the STR drinking game while you think about it.
