Wayman Tisdale Has Knee Cancer

A broken leg just might save Wayman Tisdale's life.

The long-time former King, after breaking his leg following a fall down a flight of stairs in February, has been found to have a malignant mass below his right knee. Had he not broken his leg, it's possible the cancer would have spread and become life threatening, but he is now undergoing chemotherapy and is expected to undergo surgery this May.

Tisdale spent parts of six seasons for the Kings, from the 1998-99 season to the 1993-94 campaign, averaging 16 to 20 points a game, leading the team in scoring in 1989-90, and routinely shooting above 50%.

Tisdale is expected to make a full recovery.

dare you neglect to mention his impressive jazz career
How can you trust a man who wears both a belt and suspenders? The man can't even trust his own pants.

Re: Wayman Tisdale Has Knee Cancer
He was supposed to play a show in Stockton recently, but low ticket sales made them cancel.

You gotta love a guy who played in the league for years, and can sit back and do nothing, instead decided to pursue a music career.

His stuff is much, much better than some other players, namely the TruWarier.

Sorry, got to correct you there.
The show was canceled because of him breaking his leg. The show cancellation carried the following notice in the Stockton record:"The show will be re-scheduled at a later date"...

The Tizzie Flip! Never was my favorite player or anything but im glad it will probably turn out ok. YOu'd have to be evil to wish cancer on somebody.

The headline made me shriek, but the news on his recovery gave me relief.

I love the Tizzle. One of my favorite players of alltime.
