Kelly Dwyer Loves the TZ (and Kevin Martin)

Internally speaking, Sactown Royalty is growing rapidly. Though our game threads need a boost now and again, TZ is leading the site in a big way. Not only is TZ perpetually ahead of the game on the latest Artest news, but he got Sactown Royalty some major pub today, courtesy of SI.com's Kelly Dwyer, who said:

Sactown Royalty's Tom Ziller's sterling defense of Kevin Martin trumps what you're about to read: His date of publication precedes mine, to say nothing of the statistical breakdown to back things up, topped off with an impassioned fan-positioned-yet-remarkably-objective take that drives the point home. Still, the idea bears repeating: It'll be a crime if Kevin Martin doesn't rout the competition in this year's Most Improved Player vote.

The SI.com note is helping to pad Sactown Royalty's hit stats, which reached record highs with more than 15,000 visits in December and February, nearly double the rate of just six short months ago. Today, with the Artest news and SI.com link love, Sactown Royalty crossed the 150,000 mark all time, taking in more than 1,300 visitors (including me, and presumably, you).

So, TZ, hats off to you and hats off to the Sactown Royalty community for making this the #1 source for Sacramento Kings news and insight. Now, how about those Sacramento Kings! Let's get some momentum mojo going!

Im not sure whats more twilight zoneish. That i remember & even posted on the old site almost 2 yrs ago & havent since. Or that TZ is actually giving somebody paid to think about basketball real insight. & to think this is only a cowtown....imagine what could really happen if new yorkers loved us......

Btw i just wanted to say its definitely a quality article by dwyer (beyond kmart). I was impressed with the quality of the bashing of bernie bickerstaff (1 of the more overrated coaches...if he even qualify's). He's almost certainly the best hoop writer cnnsi got.

Yeah, Dwyer is great. His articles are great infotainment.

Re: Kelly Dwyer Loves the TZ (and Kevin Martin)
Yeah in that respect TZ it makes me wonder why cnnsi even bothers to let him write with the all other dopes they employ in that department. Chris Mannix may be the worst nba writer anywhere. Which is no small accomplishment when you include peter vescey or mitch lawrence into that equation.....
