My Summer Gigs...volume 1

Some of you have e-mailed me at my website asking when my gigs are and if I'm going to be playing anywhere in the sactown area.Of course, you could go over to the stockton record's website:

to view my gigs on the calendar there when they crop up; but that won't tell anyone when I'm in Sac, so...I'll just post it here.

The good news is I'll be playing in TZ's hometown of Vacaville on June 30th from 12:00 to 3:00 approximately for the opening of the new Nugget Market with a Latin Band I play with called the Lopez Bros. (We have also played in Roseville and at the Sacramento Zoo for their Summer Wine Series). Now this isn't my band per se, but they're aimiable amigos and I can do the King's song if it's requested.If you want to see my group, Rhondda Nunes n' the Rockin' Blues Xpress you'll have to cross the Sac county line and head on down to Lodi where I'll be performing this friday from 6:00-9:00 pm at Royce Farms BBQ at 8-mile & highway 99.Love to see any of you at either place...

Sorry I will miss out with work and all. Oh and umm I would totally love the Beat LA chants and all. I never got into it myself. I don't care about the Lakers to want to chant it (other than the game itself which I want the kings to win every time regardless).

Other than that I'm sure it will be entertaining. :)

Yes, it will....besides the King song I also have another B-Ball song called "No Cows in Sight"...just haven't recorded the new "pop" with the Film score I'm finishing up on....:)

BTW, what is it you do as your job gig, pookey?

That's ironic....my dad used to be a cabbie when he first started out; & he's rolling in more than benjamins now so you could get rich; why not?

Sounds like fun Rhondda... but the Vacaville Nugget, are they doing a grand reopening or something? That's been there forever. (It's where I get my Stella Artois.)

You know...that's a good question!I suppose it's a reopening?Is it being remodeled?Carlos Lopez(one of the Brothers that leads the band) has a "day" job as a painter; I know he did inside work at the market in Roseville when we did the gig there last month; I'll check on that...

Now it's off to my gig; since it's all mine at Royce's tonight I have to set up the P.A...blah, blah....

OK...I did my checking, & the gig is at the "old" Vacaville Nugget....instead of a re-opening; it's a ....uhmmm.....celebration. A party just for the heck of it; & I will do the King's song(as to who makes the rotation on Saturday; I dunno, but they'll be some splendid hating on the fak....uhmmmm.....er....lakers).So look for me with my amigos between 12:00 n' 3:00).
