Kings need new uniforms!!

It seems like in the past 5 years or so, every freakin team in the league has changed, tinkered, or overhauled their uniforms/team colors. Some just sport sick throwbacks for at least 10 games to mix it up a bit. But what do the Kings do? They wear one of the ugliest jerseys to honor their Sixth Man...bleh.  My friends and I are diehard Kings fans, yet we never sport any gear because purple and black is such a horrible color combination.  I'm praying they go back to their roots w/ the Red, White and Blue scheme or maybe a little baby blue mixed with red and white would be sweet. If a major change isn't in the future, at least bring back an alternate black color for the road. On a side note, try to find Spencer Hawes in this picture. It's not that hard considering what he's wearing.

Ewwwww! You are right he stands out immediately. I never would have spotted him but for that hideous jersey. I too like the black jerseys. I have a "Rock" #2 jersey and still sport it from time to time. I also like the Royals jersey, it is super-tight (Oscar, 3rd one down). http://www.nba.com/history/uniforms_kings.html

Check out Reggie in powder blue..isn't he carrying with his dribble? A pet peeve of mine.

Oh my god, I'd forgotten all about that uni Lionel is wearing... I actually think it's worse than the gold one!

Yeah..maybe it was that jersey which derailed the L-Train's career.

Actually, I do not remember the two-tone jerseys. Perhaps it not a memory I want to have lingering about.

Yeah I think we need to do a retro revival of sorts, I love the throwback Oscar is holding, and even a return to the powder blue would be better then the horrible purple/gold laker wanna-be jerseys we are now sporting.  God I am ashamed of that horrible jersey (yeah I know it was only for a couple games last season, but are they planning on making that a permament problem err fixture?).

Shawes looks naked in that picture. Ew.

I've said before we are the team least equipped to deal with that tint. Bibby, Martin, Miller, Shawes, Francisco.... everyone looks ridiculous. Especially Flaco, since he never tucks. Looks like Missy Elliott.

I'm OK with the idea of new uniforms, but before we get too caught up with the powder blue thing, I had one of those jackets for years, and I always felt like the only reason I didn't get my ass kicked for wearing a powder blue jacket was because people felt sorry for me for being a Kings fan.  The only thing that was missing was the "Member's Only" emblem, for crying out loud. Remember, not all retro is good retro, or do I need to come over in my Chevy Vega, plug in an 8 track of Neil Sedaka's greatest hits and prove it to you?

I have multiple pairs of shoes and or/shorts featuring powder blue or baby blue.  I wear them proudly.

i tend to like the home jerseys but the road unis, gold or purple, are undeniably atrocious.

was i the only one that noticed the kings decline once they brought out the purple instead of black

we do need black jerseys very badly.  because black alternate jerseys are the baddest jerseys out there.  

as for hawes, not only does the jersey look completely fugly, but why do we have to have the fattest white boy with man boobs standing next to all of those ballers in awesome unis.  everyone of those players looks like a hall of famer standing next to hawes.

I like Hawes, but he does look like the "before" picture in one of those Nutri System ads.

You noticed our downfall began when we changed our white/black jerseys to that crap we have know? (it was after 2001 if i remember correctly).
They weren't fancy but looked great (just like the blazers jerseys do).
i'm still trying to get a black c-webb or jdub jersey from that time.
