Hating Kobe on a More Intellectual Level
I think you all know by now how highly I think of FreeDarko. As such, it may be no surprise I come to you to lavish devout praise on the FreeDarko book, which comes out a week from today.
I finished the book this weekend; it's simply outrageous in its imagination and execution. There is some Kings-related content in there, on Gerald Wallace and Ron Artest. (Beno Udrih also makes a surprise appearance in discussion of the Myth of the Next Ginobili-Parker.) But for my money, one of the best chapters is on Sacramento's Public Enemy #1, Kobe Bryant. Be but through the grace of internet relations and Bloomsbury, here's an excerpt.
UPDATE: I can't believe I forgot to direct your attention to the Gerald Wallace t-shirt.

Wonderful Except on Bean
With the notable mistake of saying Iverson came into the league in 97. He and Kobe have been in the league the same amount of years, of course.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on
When I get money
Hopefully i can buy that shirt, even though I ‘ve stated roughly a million times I’m glad G-Dub left.

Gotsta get that.
I too will have to pick that up along with the book once some dinero rolls my way.
But I will never be happy that Gerald left.
Thanks, but no thanks.
I prefer to hate him on a more visceral and ravenous level.
Bring Chris Bosh to California!!!
Absolutely
No intellectual justification needed to hate Kobe.

All the shirts
over there are pretty nice. I like Vintage Midwest Division Tee.
Is that the Bulls, Pistons, Bucks and Kings?!?

As usual
Kahn is really in touch, calling a guy that is 3rd on the center depth chart and 4th on the power forward depth chart a starter. This is the same guy that omitted Kevin Martin from the top 50. What a tool.
KHAN!!!

I wonder if I’m the only trekkie on this board that got that parting shot?
Thanks 4 the tix by the way. You’re like my son’s unofficial godfather. (Is it cool that we’re different religions?)
