Woah, wait a minute
Backing Moore up is Shelden Williams and Kenny Thomas, and let’s just forget that any of that ever happened.

WTF is that? Is JT “let’s just forget that any of that ever happened”? or did Skeets just forget him?

My thought as well Kfan

not a real mention of JT in the rotation.

Sad points we’re all well aware of at the PF spot though. M2 has gotta go to give the kids a chance to play. (I still think that happens by the deadline – its a no-brainer for a contender that needs an enthusiastic big man off the bench)

I doubt he’s right about BMiller, from all reports he’s in excellent shape again – so barring injury I’d expect him to have a similar year – amybe even a few more points now that RA is gone.

I hope this team minus RA stills plays harder than thier opponents every night (almost). Are the rookies taking this season seriously? Not so sure. I’m also still concerned that there might be just a few too many ‘nice guys’ on this roster. Our biggest muscle (SW) wouldn’t prod a dead squirrel with a stick. A little nasty can be useful. Maybe Brad and Reggie should take him bow hunting?

I also think the jury is still very out on Beno – seemed kind of hasty and harsh.

Still, 35 wins (if that was his prediction – it was confused) seems about right to me barring a run of injuries or a nice run of (close) wins.

The point about previews with regards to the Kings is

Nobody knows much about them at this point, because much of the rotation is still an unknown quantity to say the least. The known players aren’t really swell, in a national view, and it takes a fan’s eyes to look at this group and see ultimate success.

Bottom line, and I don’t blame KD for it, but there was nothing to say. HIs preview could have been much shorter and read something like this: “Kevin Martin will score the ball a lot. Garcia and Udrih could have suprisingly strong seasons. Salmons could have a good season, or he may not. Miller is all but done. So is B-Jax. Kenny Thomas is 2 words too many. The young kids, Greene, Hawes and Thompson are too raw to really know how to define them yet. This is a team that totally changes it’s identity, and we don’t know what it’s gonna be yet. So there, I’m done.”

??????????

No mention of JT anywhere, and the armchair GM guy still has SAR on our books until 2010? Brad Miller’s swansong was last season? Seriously?

Do these guys pay any attention at all to what’s going on in Sacramento?

You're lucky I don't know

Kicking the crap out of you would be the least of your troubles. You are really seriously irritating me for no particular reason, other than you don’t like how much I write. One suggestion: Don’t read it!

Yeah you're right

You’d break me in two. Internet threats are hollow, and I do know it. But you’re still an arrogant snotnose, with very little to back any of it up. Good day.

He's being just a taaad defensive

on what I think most would agree is a reasonable criticism.

He deleted his #$%!-you comment that used to be above in reply to my comment that the pot shouldn’t call the kettle black when he suggested BDL could have been briefer and still made thier point.

Here’s a quote for him

Umm...

as someone who has read all of the BDL previews I can say that Dwyer is long winded, way longer than Pookey. I’m also sure that Pookey understands the irony of it as well because he’s fairly self aware when it comes to his penchant for rambling.

You, on the other hand, need to just shut the fuck up already. That’s two posts (that i’ve seen) where you’ve wasted your time trying to tell people off. You tried doing it with me when I made a god damn joke about voting for Obama to piss off Spence enough to play well, saying that this board is about basketball, not politics. Yet you quickly steer the subject away from basketball when it’s to your own benefit? Now who’s calling the kettle black?

By the way, Obama/Biden 2008, ass!

Just to clear this up

and my last comment about politics on a sports blog – because I think its a waste of time
(and yes, I didn’t read your joke correctly at first – it Was funny – just wary and tired of politics being injected into EVERYTHING)

I am both a proud veteran and a proud Democrat.

BUT, your saying that Dwyer is more long winded than Polonius here is just silly.

My comment was not a harsh indictment, he has things to say that I sometimes find useful and interesting, but he – of all people – complaining that someone else should be brief and get down to the gist – please!

He waaaay overreacted to it.

I don’t care what his ‘status’ is here.

First off

I didn’t criticize Kelly Dwyer for writing too much. I said he could have written it shorter. KD usually has issues with word count I imagine, being that sometimes expansion does help clear up a point. In some of his previews I’m sure he struggled with it. With the Kings he could have written a paragraph and it would have sufficed. THAT was my point.

Don’t call me Polonius. I’m neither a back-stabber or a hypocrite. That’s probably more insulting than anything you did call me previously to be honest. (Probably because you think I’ve haven’t heard of Polonius I imagine. But that would pretty much mean you’re a petty snobby punk thought wouldn’t it?)

The bottom line is if you don’t like my word count then fine. But you don’t have to tell me specifically that. Don’t read the thing.

Finally, and I say this knowing what the term “veteran” means being one myself, I have no respect for someone who thinks dropping a term such as that means anything. I respect those who’ve served, and continue to serve, but I’m not sure what context it is useful to this forum and how many words I type on a computer. Or to anyone else for that matter. Or how it relates to the Obama/McCain presidential race.

Spot on

As much as I thought this preview was going to fall the way of SI and ESPN I thought it was pretty spot on especially the Ricky Rubio part. I think his win total is accurate and he sees both the positives (hustle/Martin/Garcia) and Negatives (miller/salmons/D) in a much more realistic view than other national bloggers. Kudos to KD and lets start it off with a W tonight!

So, Dwyer doesn't have Bo Jacks listed as an incoming player.

Small misprint, but criticize the national blogger I will.

Boys boys.

I’m assuming your’e boys (cause you sure ain’t men). Nice reposte vfettke.

I’m watching the Lakers school Portland and Doug Collins made a comment about nobody anticipating LA’s 57 win season. If anyone hear (or anywhere) had predicted that the Lakers would go almost all the way they would have been almost universally scorned. Pooky has made this point many times (I’m pretty sure) that the national media knows squat about Sacramento or any other non major market teams.

There will be injuries, some teams will unexpextedly amaze while others will disapoint, same with players. The one prediction I can make with absolute certainty is that not one expert, pundit or posuer will call ALL the win/loss totals correctly. That’s why they play the games.

Did you see?

That Rudy F is already saying to his hometown press that he wasn’t happy with his role in the game last night? (hoopshype)

Ya gotta wonder, all those players wanting minutes to make thier mark and $ all coming up for contracts in the next two years.

you mean Sergio?

I only saw a quite by Sergio, not Rudy. Don’t get my hopes up that Rudy wants a change of scenery already!

Why would the Kings want Rudy Fernandez instead of Kevin Martin?
