Fandemonium
Clever name? Check. A few players, tons of fans? Check. Fun? Oh it seems we left that behind.
I went expecting to hear some people (namely Theus and the Maloofs) speak. Reggie did for like two seconds. I went to see some player interaction with the fans. I talked to Kevin, Cisco, Spencer, and Bobby brown. The actual events were alright, I would have liked to have seen the team do something like a dunk contest or something along those lines. They did do a three point contest, and they chose some fans who looked like they never touched a basketball before in their life.
Anyway, it was free, but it didn't rise to my not so ridiculous expectations.

I agree
Somebody handed me free tickets, so I went. I won’t again. Watching inept fans attempt threes is excruciating. I feel like they intentionally choose these guys to make sure the players look better. I’m not sure what I expected from Fandemonium, maybe a scrimmage. All I know is I found myself wishing I was at home staring at the wall.

It's hard
A long long time ago on my old 8th grade Basketball team, the team had the privilege of playing at Arco Arena on the Kings’ Basketball court. I remember the floor was really springy, the court looked VERY small, due to the proportionality in size of the court to the rest of the arena, and hitting 3’s was HARD. What a difference moving out the 3 point line is. To even hit the rim, I remember needing to launch the ball up with all my strength (like taking a half court shot, almost). If I had shot the ball regularly, it would have been an air-ball every single time.

um
you were in eighth grade, when the upper body strength would have been a problem in moving the line back a few feet. These were grown men, and as one myself, I the extra few feet makes the shot only marginally different. I know this because I do occasionally take shots from that distance. And if you looked at their form, it was atrocious. The one guy that was able to make a single three of the eight that he attempted, shot with both hands over his head, and released with both hands at the same time. Don’t try to excuse what took place, other than to say that they are inept basketball players, and cannot be expected to shoot with any accuracy.

That's too bad
I didn’t go to the Blazer Fan Fest (though I was at the game last night – woo hoo!) but 11,000 other people did. Maybe the Kings mgt. should talk to the Blazers pr staff. There was a scrimmage and interviews and this quote from Griff, a fellow member of Blazer’s Edge.
"Kudos to the organization – they really did make this event about the fans.
I don’t know if this was only for people that were closer to the front of the line, but as we waited to enter, each concourse gate was manned by a player. When we went through the gate, the massive GO was there with a big grin and a handshake to greet the fans. Just to the left was Steven of Nazereth (as Barrett referred to him during the game), Rudy, and so on. This really impressed me and was a nice personal touch for the fans."

good for you
that sounds far better. when I was given the ticket, the one thing I was excited about, was a potential scrimmage, so that I could see first hand where the young players were.
