HELLO SACRAMENTO
Fellow NBA fan here from Portland and wanted to ask you a favor.
For some reason comcast sports in Sac is showing the game, however Comcast PDX is not showing the game, even though it is in our house.
So if one of you fine gentlemen/women would like to do us fans here in Portland a favor and broadcast the game over the internet we would be in your debt.
Yours truly,
Blazer fan
The season cannot get here soon enough.

Whaat?!
Being a Kings fan, I can honestly say I share your pain. If I were a Trailblazer fan, I’d really want to see the debut of Greg Oden. I think it’s a serious misdeed that they aren’t showing the game there. If I could help you out, I would, but I have no idea how to set up my cable box to work with my PC, nor probably have the wires to hook up to my computer. Sorry.
by CloudyEyes on Oct 7, 2008 7:04 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Oh it gets worse my southern friend.
Get this: Crapcast DOES NOT have a contract with either of the dishes, or smaller local cable providers save for a few.
So if you do not have Comcast then you do not get CSNW. Kinda like what I hear happend to your comcast but you got yours a few months into the season, ours has lasted an entire year and may stretch into this season as well.
Hows that for ya?
The season cannot get here soon enough.

worn out from the suicides. There’s going to be a bunch of nights like this this season. Shawes ain’t anywhere near ready to replace brad.

by KingsFan on Oct 7, 2008 9:33 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I'm with you guys.
I’m starting to wonder if Hawes sat in a gym practicing his hook and not doing anything else. Oden added thirty pounds of muscle with a knee injury and Hawes looks the same as he did last year physically- go eat a cheese burger bitch. The Kings interior D is gonna be weak sauce and Brad Miller better be ready to play 33 minutes a game because I don’t see him losing many minutes to either Hawes or Williams.
Oh, and Fernandez is flat out nasty.

by KingsFan on Oct 7, 2008 10:18 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Brad would seem a lot less expendable
If he played better interior defense himself. I know Brad is a much better rebounder than Shawes, but I’m not sure he would’ve faired much better at decreasing the amount of points in the paint that the Blazers got. I don’t think Shawes is anywhere near ready to replace Brad, but I understand why many people around here want to see a change at the 5 spot.

Tough to say
I only caught the second and third quarters, and it really seemed to me the Kings looked a hell of a lot quicker when Bobby Brown was running the point.
Of course, it’s all out of context, and the rotations are fluid. But Beno just looks too slow to run this team if they are going to play a high-octane style.
It’s early yet. It’s all meaningless. I’ve got to stop living in the past…

I'm sure Beno will look alot better
with Brad aiding distribution, and K-Mart able to rip half-court sets.
No, he’s not built for the run-and-gun game, nor is he built to be a primary distributor (forcing him to be so pass-focused really strangles his offensive options, which further damages his passing ability). However, having legitamite wepaons (post defender can’t slide away from Brad, wing defender can’t slide over away from Martin) will markedly improve his game.
I’m not sure markedly is a word.
