Who will Reggie bench? Poll
Just curious to see who you think Coach Reggie Theus will sit when Kevin Martin comes back?
I personnally think it will be JT back to the bench,to protect him from early foul trouble. That logic doesn`t seem right since he`s starting now.I think the logic choice is everybody`s fav. ONE REBOUND PER NIGHT PF Mikki Moore. The way Coach Theus has run the team so far I just don`t see JT starting at PF.
What do you think Coach Theus will do?Why?

no doubt
its gonna be JT. maybe somtime mid december JT will start but for now he likes mikki
Your 2002 Western Conference Champions the Sacramentoooooooo KINGS!!!
Difference between what he will do and what he should do
JT will go back to the bench, but Mikki should be the one sitting there
Jt will probably get more minutes than Mikki
but off the bench
(for now)

I dunno
I’m thinking that having Jason play the 3 while Kevin is out is setting him to maintain a starter role after Kevin returns. If not I would think Donte would be getting more minutes currently. Not only do I want JT to be starting by December first but I think he will be.
Donte'
Isn’t ready. JT will take MMs spot but not for at least a few more weeks until Everyone knows he’s just the better player, (at least that’s how I would play if for team unity) Maybe january. But as i said, i think he consistantly starts getting more minutes than Mikki.

Could be Mikki
Think about it. Thompson could provide a low post presence that is presently lacking in the starting lineup. Moore could bring energy off the bench (which he did his entire career before being named a starter last year), while Hawes continues in his current role. Could happen.

Not only that
JT is going above & beyond Mikki and demonstrating a need that this team has in the starting lineup. That was one criteria Reggie had for bumping Mikki outta the starting lineup.

HOPE SO!
Remembering TZ`s article, that Reggie was pissed when they didn`t get the ball to JT,has me ?ing if Theus has found his good hands low post threat!(In his mind,I mean,I already believe he is!)
Can you just write out questioning next time
That is a bit confusing with some of the stuff you’re using to substitute for actual words. Thanks.

I don’t really agree with your criticism, but that’s one of the few things I can write substituting for actual words. L8r H8r. ;p

Lazy sometimes, sorry!
New to this.Wouldn`t have ever used the reply button if you didn`t school me!And no I`m not a texter, just lazy.
It's okay
I was thinking to myself, this don’t make sense. Believe it or not, people from national blogs like Henry Abbott and Kelly Dwyer/JE Skeets (although not this in particular most likely) read a lot of this stuff. So you might want to pick & choose what you say.

I think it would be "ridiculous" for JT to be removed from the starting lineup
simply ridiculous until he proves he doesn’t deserve the spot. RIDICULOUS

No, that was genuine
I wish that I had thought of it. I would have milked it into a 1,500 word essay.

Jason Thump Thompson
will be benched. He made some mistakes like not catching the ball and not running enough. Moore is a pure beast (to me) on the inside. He has too much energy to put on bench. Brad is too good with Martin. Sooooo, J Thump Thompson will prolly be benched
Wack To Mack With The General and The Back. (J-Mac and D-Mac)
With all due respect
Is this the same beast that has been outrebounded by Brad Miller in spite of the fact that he has played in five more games, or is this the beast that “Thump” has outrebounded 2-1? Moore is currently 5th on the team in rebounds, behind Miller/Thompson/Hawes/Salmons, two ahead of Williams, four ahead of Udrih. That beast?

Jt's gonna be benched
Seems like Theus has a hard on for Mikki.
Theus
He also has a hard on for rebounding, and right now the count is JT 62, MM 32. You may be right, but we’ll see.

A week ago I woulda said Mikki
But JT is just going to end up being too valuable to this team defensively, offensively and rebounding to take off the court. Theus is going to have to recognize there are just certain rookie’s you start over Mikki.

He Said
It takes alot to move a VET to the bench.JT proved to me he could overtake MM hopefully Reggie sees it the same.
We'll see
I think JT is so very close to making my point above that EVERYONE knows that he is the better player
but Theus might give it some more time so that even all the players are thinking/saying it.
It won’t be too long though, a few weeks at most if this keeps up.

i may be the only one
but i am okay with JT returning to the bench. for now i am fine with moore starting and maybe having his minutes reduced a bit…maybe 18-20 mins a game, with some of the shaved off time going to JT.
the reason is, i think it may ultimately help in bringing JT along. i believe by not starting he gets to play a bit more against second units, but some increased minutes gives him time against starters as well. i have never been a huge proponent of letting rookies start and get huge minutes — i think i favor a more gradual increase to let the kids adapt to the pro game and allow confidence grow slowly. by coming off the bench, it takes away some of the pressure of starting and need to produce against the other team’s best.
my humble opinion..
Here's my problem with that reg
Eventually you’re going to have to start JT against the starters in the league anyway. He’s already acclimating himself nicely to the NBA as far as a rookie can. He might as well cut his teeth with the schedule and starters anyway. Or that’s my view anyway.

I think I agree with that reg
and made that point last week. Jts play has made me hunger for more though.
Its torturous, but I guess I’d try to keep him coming off the bench again for awhile. Give him a little time to digest what he learned once the starters come back. I do think thats how a new player usually grows, he needs a little time to process. It shouldn’t be too long though I think . . .
Aaargh!

I think those are reasonable
points. On the other hand it’s pretty tough to put 15.5 points 10 rebounds on 65% shooting on the bench(JT’s stats in his 2 starts). Especially when it comes while playing out of position. If JT can provide anywhere close to those numbers as the starting PF, it’s a no brainer.
But I’m ok with whichever way Reggie decides to go as long as JT gets consistent minutes. I don’t want to say any of the 11 minute crap he got in Brad’s first game back.

Spencer
I’m more worried about Spencer than Mikki or JT. The other night in LA, Mikki was on the floor in the final 2 minutes with Spencer on the bench. I was flippin’ LIVID. I could not believe Reggie had MM in there in crunch time. My beef isn’t who starts so much as who finishes. Starting is important, and I believe that Moore needs to be coming off the bench someday but I don’t mind seeing JT come off the bench right now since we need some lift coming in for the starters. Seeing MM come in for JT or Spencer near the end of the first quarter would really bum me out.

Why would you want Spencer in at crunch time?
Because he can rebound and block shots????
Kevin Pritchard has Chuck Norris tied up in the trunk of his car.
'cool headed veteran' I guess was the thought
But I agree with you.
I don’t think that thought process will rule much longer.
