Quincy shouldn't feel bad
You can tell that Qunicy feels bad about missing that shot, and he shouldn’t. The Kings would absolutely not have been in a position to win the game without his contributions late in the fourth quarter.
Shut up and Coach
Maybe Quincy is mad if he doesn't get consistent shots down the road?
That’s happened in the past to him. Surely though, missing the shot couldn’t have made him feel good.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on
Agreed
I do question Theus’ decision to leave him in for such a long run when he has been out for so long, but that of course is 20-20 hindsight on my part. If Douby hits the shot he’s a stud and Theus is a genius.
SACTOWN ROYALTY - Try our thick creamy shakes!
Quincy should feel bad.
He said in that interview that he wasn’t expecting to play, and that he’d gotten a cardio workout earlier that day. The fact is, his number got called, and he wasn’t ready to go.
Mostly, though, I blame Theus for leaving him on the floor when his legs were so tired that his shot was barely grazing the front of the rim. He was a great on-ball defender, but was perpetually lost on team defense and in most of the offensive schemes that weren’t run specifically for him. After he had three shots in a row fall short, I was screaming at Theus to take him out.
I would have rather had JT on the floor trying to play himself into the game than Douby playing himself out of it. I would have rather had BJax on the floor, too, for his experience and clutch shot making.
If this was an experiment designed to give Douby more confidence, it backfired.
Let's go home.-Kevin Martin
