The first edition of Hollinger's playoff odds, based on his power rankings, are in and our Sacramento Kings come in with a 2.9% chance to reach the playoffs! 5th worst percentage in the league, ouch. On the bright side we have a 10.5% chance of winning the lottery! And by my estimation a 75% chance of The Kings selecting Pervis Ellison Jr. if we do win.

You’re on the short track to the StR HOF if there ever is one.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on

Thats funny, the 75%

it makes me feel sick – but funny.

Seriously, a lot of danger getting the #1 or #2 unless there is a real consensus, and next year so far, I don’t think there is.

Cisco? Cisco? CISCO!!!! #*$!%! !

yeah

You really need to get luck twice. Once for the pick and once for the draft class. Much luckier to be drafting #1 in a LeBron, Duncan, or Robinson year than in a Pervis or an Olawakandi year.

Yea??

But you dont turn down the #1 do ya ?? There will be good players in the top 10 for the GM with the eye for talent. I think Petrie has that eye for talent. He has chosen so far down and has picked some real gems. Martin and Garcia have turned out to be good players. Martin is an All Star candidate. Hawes and Thompson look to be winners as well, and to a lesser extent Greene. Douby looks like a bust. What has been real questionable has been the free agent signings. SAR was a disaster. Trading anyone and receiving KT the human turd in return was a mistake. Miller has been that player that is just good enough to lose routinely. By and Large, Petrie has done a yeoman’s job as GM. I am hoping this young team only wins about 20 so we can see what Petrie can do with a top 5 pick. And then there is 2009-10 and the freed up salary cap money that will need to be spent wisely. Petrie is going to earn his money in the next 2 seasons or he is going to get fired. But by the looks of Hawes and Thompson, and the promise of Brown and Greene, along with Garcia and Martin, this team looks to be competitive in the future. Lets hope it doesnt come so soon as to keep the Kings drafting in the 10-15 picks of the draft. That is what will keep this team mediocre….
