"(But) the few times I've talked to Joe (Maloof) the last two to three weeks … I said it's just way too early to make a fair assessment of what we have here. It's going to get better. I'm sure of that, if we can get reasonably healthy for a reasonable period of time."

It's good to hear that
the whole front office isn’t crazy, just Joe.
Another good sign: Reggie agrees with Joe about the need for improvement.
Kings coach Reggie Theus, in light of recent comments made by team owner Joe Maloof that sparked talk about his job security, said there was one thing he wanted to get out there: He essentially agrees with Maloof.
It’s good to see Reggie take the high road and not fan this into a wildfire.

Or
Joe was correct, but his method of delivery was bad.

You are correct sir
Right ideas by Joe, but probably shouldn’t have made them public.

I'm wondering if this whole thing isn't part of a bigger story...
Is it possible that the Malofs are playing for the cameras for their new reality TV show? This is the type of drama that can add tension/intrigue so I’m wondering if the Maloofs aren’t using Reggie Theus’ career as a plot line.

Interesting thought...
and I think it’s definitely a possibility, as sad as that is.

I like this line the best
We’re certainly still a developing team of some sort based on the people that are playing," he said, “and we’re probably not in a position to have two or three of your top-six players out for long periods of time without it affecting your performance.”
All I wanted to see was this group get about 30 games together with Reggie a chance to implement his system (I assume we saw a large basis of it last night). If you get that, and it isn’t working, then changing coaches, and some personnel, isn’t beyond the realm of possibility, and shouldn’t be.

I wonder if GP knew what the owner was going to say on the radio or if he was taken by surprise like most everybody else
