Someone get Andrew Nicholson a comb and a good night's sleep

He obviously was napping in the van right before this interview. The cameraman must not like him very much to not give him a heads-up. Poor kid.

Maybe

he’s going for the “Alfalfa” look?

I got to get used to it, "possibly" coming off the bench

Confidence… I like it.

This kid don't miss a beat

He has a future in this league if he works hard every day, even when Andrew Nicholson isn’t around. I kinda wonder about having his own show, that it will distract him from becoming a better player. But, hopefully, it won’t.

He seems to be having a lot of fun

I am guardedly optimistic about his future, as I am about the team’s. I think it’s very possible that we have 6 or 7 pieces of a future championship contending rotation. Martin, Hawes, JT, Donté, Garcia, Beno and maybe Brown.

I think one between Beno and Bobby B gotta go at some point

I’m guessing through trade to get a decent young vet

I probably agree

but will give Beno this season to show what he can do.

Why I pushed Mike Conley for Beno

I think it’s so much a better idea. And I’m willing to trade Mikki instead of Kenny Thomas, although I don’t think it really would make much of a difference to Memphis.

Might be worth a shot

I’m not sold on Conley but I will say he seems to have a lot more upside than Beno.

I'm not sold this team needs veterans

I think this is scary to people, but more youth would be fine. It’s not like you’re adding Lionel Simmons, Travis Mays, Duane Causwell and Anthony Bonner to this team.

I agree

I have no problem adding 2 more rookies next year to the mix.

Especially if they have a strong future

With Geoff Petrie this is at least a likely possibility is it not?

I think Beno can be moved for that PG piece

But yeah I totally agree. I would even love to say I think Shelden could be part of that rotation at a very cheap cost.

Why is the reporter not a hot woman?

Because the hot woman

isn’t as astute as she should be to ask those questions.
