Attention Idiots; Idiots, Your Attention Please

I hate to repeat myself, but ... there will be none of the following:

* If you come here to pick a fight, you will be banned. No one in the world has time for you, so go away.

* From this point forward, if you use a derogatory word concerning a person's sexual orientation, you will be banned. We've had two instances of non-troll StR members drop the three- or six-letter f-word in recent days. Unacceptable. Consider it the same as the n-word, which is ultrainstaban worthy.

* If you post a moronic FanPost telling us, Kings fans, that Monta Ellis is better than Kevin Martin all while bolding letters in your diatribe to spell out "Suck a dick Kings fans" ... well then OH MY GOD YOU ARE SO FREAKING CLEVER NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT BEFORE YOU MUST BE SOME KIND OF INTERNET GENIUS YOU BIG MAN YOU DIDN'T THAT FEEL GREAT WHEN YOU GOT ONE OVER ON SOME COMPLETE STRANGERS WHO YOU DON'T KNOW FROM ADAM FOR NO REASON WHO CARES IF THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING TO DESERVE YOUR GENIUS YOU WILL SHOW IT TO THEM ANYWAYS BECAUSE YOU ARE A GREAT CLEVER INTERNET HERO OF SORTS YOU KNOW THEY JUST MIGHT MAKE YOU A WIKIPEDIA PAGE SOMEDAY BECAUSE YOU ARE SO FREAKING CLEVER ENOUGH TO STRATEGICALLY HIGHLIGHT SPECIFIC LETTERS TO SPELL OUT AN INSULT THAT POST MIGHT REVOLUTIONIZE INTERNET DISCOURSE FOR THE REST OF HISTORY THEY COULD BUILD A STATUE OF YOU SOMEDAY YOU CLEVER CLEVER MAN IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER THAT THE 10 MINUTES YOU SPENT ON BEING AWESOME AND CLEVER WAS ERASED BY ONE CLICK OF THE MOUSE BY THE NAZI SITE EDITOR WHO IS TOO INSECURE TO LET YOU BE YOU AND DO WHAT YOU DO NEVER MIND HE CAN TAKE YOUR STAGE BUT HE CAN NEVER TAKE YOUR FREEDOM CLEVER GENIUS STRATEGIC BOLDER MAN. Also, if you do something like that, you're banned.

*Basically, idiots, just stop being idiots. It might be hard. It might hurt a little. Going cold turkey on the idiocy, man, it can give you the shakes. But just chew on some hard candy, take a deep breath, and let go of the idiocy. Us non-idiots will appreciate it,  and the world will be a better place for it.

Evidence

Yet again showing why I like posting here and reading here, it’s is so far above the levels that most message boards accept. High expectations lead to high quality.

And these are not unreasonable requests that TZ is making. Another of the SB Nation blogs (which shall remain nameless) recently cracked down as well, but I think they took it to the extreme. I’m now less likely to post there as well. StR strikes the perfect balance.

Never forget: I am a complete idiot

He lost me after the first sentence.

Thanks TZ, I happy for the regulation of trolls and the in-house cleaning. It’s extremely frustrating reading the comments on Sacbee, it wears on you. This place is like a sanctuary from bad and stupid people.

TZ can you do us a favor?

Can you make a list of the insults and derogatory remarks we still can use? I just want to know what’s acceptable when players like Travis Outlaw, Hakim Warrick, and Linas Kleiza have monster games against us? That, and I just like the word “fuck” alot.

I'm bummed I came in so late

When a FanPost gets 60+ comments within a few hours of it’s apprearance, you now pretty much what to expect.

I like to poke the trolls with a stick before TZ summarily dismisses them or deletes their diaries. So I promise to be more vigilant, now that the trolls seem to be out in force.

Tapping on the glass

is always good fun. There should be some kind of automatic text message to TZ’s phone when a Fanshot/post gets too many comments over a certain amount of time. That is of course, after this hypothetical program accounts for the possibility that pookey may be participating in the thread.

Its funny that the dumbest posts get the biggest reaction. We’re like bees stinging the crap out of a trolling creature.

Constructive comments are always welcome

as long as there is some level of intelligence behind them. Not an easy task from a Lala fan, but much more plausible from a Portlander.

I, personally, would prefer that you stay away

I have a jealousy based hatred for Blazer fans.

Kidding… no one here minds friendly banter with other teams’ fans. A little smack talk will hurt no one. But complete uncalled for rudeness isn’t needed.

And by the way…10 bucks says Spence blocks GODen again.

Cool

My roommate from college is a huge Kings fan, so we’ve been discussing both teams for years. I actually like the team for the most part, especially Martin, Salmons, & Thompson. How do you guys feel about Garcia? I loved him in college, but I feel like overall Kings fans don’t like him, I may be completely off base, never really asked.

Ziller how dare you misquote me.

“Eat a dick kings” was the correct hidden message. Not “eat a dick kings fans” The quote was directed towards Kings personel. Namely the Maloofs. Not the Kings dedicated fans.

Eveland rocks! Eveland rocks! Somewhere Drew Carey just smiled.

Correction

Personnel = Office staff, support staff and players.
Maloofs = Owners
Kings Fans = Most loyal and knowledgeable fanbase in the league.

And whatever the “hidden message” was, it was crass, inflammatory and completely gratuitous.

I'll do my best, but it's a process

and my idiocy is fairly well intentioned.

What I’m admiring most about you right now is that you did " the contraction in your all caps blast. Whenever I write in all caps, I invariably do that. I’m mad too, so I naturally don’t bother to check it. Then, later when the ol’ head cools off, I look at what I wrote, and think, wow, that would have been perfect if not for the " on the contraction.

Or, maybe you don’t deserve my admirationg and you simply used the CAPS key. That key"s for cheaters, man. It"ll ruin your life, man.
