That’s the third game we’ve lost by one posession in the last week and half alone.

by Scirocco on Nov 24, 2008 9:37 PM PST reply actions

If anyone wants to complain about Salmons, start with the coach because the final play was obviously an iso play for Salmons to take it himself and get into the lane.

by jeremy548 on Nov 24, 2008 9:37 PM PST reply actions

my only complaint is that they ran it ad nauseam and it kept spencer in the corner.

I resent having him in the corner on the game winning attempt he is better than the kick out three point. Why not use him in the screen and roll with salmons?

by Bushka on Nov 24, 2008 9:40 PM PST up reply actions

I agree with you, but I’m just coming from the perspective that I see a lot of posts crucifying Salmons for driving constantly when here it’s Reggie deciding what play to run.

Spencer was playing well and we should’ve drawn up some kind of post play, but Reggie decided to get the ball to Salmons at the top of the key for an iso.

by jeremy548 on Nov 24, 2008 9:45 PM PST up reply actions

Yes
If anyone wants to complain about Salmons, start with the coach because the final play was obviously an iso play for Salmons to take it himself and get into the lane.

Agreed and it was a bad play call on both possessions. It led to a foul on one possession and a not very good shot on the other.

I hope the team can maintain its rage

They seem to play hard, even though they are coming up short they keep putting themselves in position to steal games they have no business taking.

Add kmart and another year to them and the squads solid

The thing i do like is that the team obviously care as well

They are a young team, and they are not afraid of reputations or standings. They play hard regardless.

The decision making will come with time and being in tight situations a lot. The only thing i can’t fathom is giving Mikki time over J.T. I know mikki had one good play at the end but he gave away good quality ball a lot, and he continues to do it.

He is the ultimate team guy, but he just doesn’t value the ball enough (or his hands are made of stone).

by Apoet on Nov 24, 2008 10:01 PM PST reply actions

hell, i think the Kings are surprising teams now

having League Pass I get to hear the opposing teams’ announcers be surprised about how much Hawes has improved and how J.T. is the steal of the draft.

I can’t wait for us to be 100%. The 8th playoff spot doesn’t seem so unattainable. The West just isn’t as strong this year.

I’m hoping kevin doesn’t turn out to be fragile. on the other hand if mikki re-injured his ankle and had to spend the next two months on the bench I wouldn’t think less of him.

Were absolutely ridiculous. I mean he hit 3-4 absolutely crazy shots. Roy looked like the kind of player who is going to win late round playoff games for his team, which is a rare commodity.

I saw a great game

I think a lot of the sloppiness was due to great defense.

I love seeing JT and Hawes on the floor at the same time. Both of these athletes improve every single game.

Salmons is not Jordan but Reggie must think he is. Salmons can command a few double teams but that doesn’t mean he converts them into points or assists. I hope they devise some plays where Salmons has the option of making a pass to an open man. Someone mention a pick-and-roll situation – that sounds about right.

To admit you're a Laker fan is to admit you don't know anything about basketball.

You know how a couple years ago

I think it was the year they went to the Superbowl, the Carolina Panthers won a bunch of close games throughout the season and everyone was calling them the Cardiac Cats? We’re like the opposite of that. =( At least we beat the spread.
