Alright Kings, time to bounce back with a win

Jazz don’t have Boozer today. We can play with the Jazz! Come one!

Also, Grant just said on the Radio Garcia is going to play! YES! Finally.

Even if he doesn’t play as much, his leadership is something the Kings REALLY need right now.

Looking for a little effort tonight

the effort level against NJ was pathetic. Let’s play hard for 4 quarters. Go Kings!

I hate Stinky as much as you. My screen name has only to do with where I live and the team I love. I meant no offense to anyone on the board by using it and do NOT want the Kings in Seattle. They need to stay in Sac where they belong!

there was once a stripper named “Tinkerbell” … after my buddy spent a night at her club, we have since referred to it as the “Stink Fingerbell Incident”…

I won’t explain the details for you.

Obviously he’s not in going to play 35 yet. It’s going to be a few games before we see him really make an impact.

I just really wished Theus would just start JT already. He’s better than Moore.

Sometimes you just wonder

The young guys make so many mistakes more than once. Spencer jumping out at threes, JT’s offensive fouls, Bobby Brown’s Turnovers at the end of quarters… are they even learning anything?

We need a coach who is a teacher. Not someone who is going to throw in kids randomly, and if they look like they’re going to have a good game then keep them in otherwise bench them. Maybe it’s because of job security, or maybe it’s Reggie’s ego getting the better of him again, but there needs to be a change of mentality.

BRAD MILLER IS A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A CENTER !!!

Brad (The B-52 Bummer) Miller is the worst defender at the center position in the entire NBA. With Miller on the floor, the Kings are playing 5 on 4 defense. Until Miller is benched and Hawes replaces him, the Kings is destined to fail. Beno is just as bad a defender as Bibby was, with less offensive prowess. But Miller has earned nothing but PINE. Until Miller is GONE, this team is a loser. Miller is just good enough to lose 50+ games a year. Theus needs to start the youth and bring the old guys off the bench. Haqwes should start and Thompson should start. Gre sne is still too green to start yet. So starting line should be:

Beno
Salmons
Martin
Thompson
Hawes

Bench:

Brown
Garcia
Douby
Moore
Williams

Sheldon Williams is a giant mound of DUNG !

Sheldon Williams isnt fit to sweep out the Gym. He is FAT, out of shape, has done nothing to improve his game or his body. TOTAL BUST as a 6th overall pick. The Kings only accepted that sewage to get rid of Bibby (and His Posse). Williams has no right to be on the floor. The young guys Hawes, Thompson, and even Greene should get minutes before that sack of manure Williams gets any time. Williams isnt the future of this franchise, his contract money is. He’ll be canned the minute his contract is up and no one will sign an unathletic FAT clumsy OAF. His MONEY will help the Kings get a good Freeagent. Sheldon Williams should back up to the pay window, because he is stealing. He has done nothing to earn his money…

More Ping Pong Balls !! We need a top 5 draft pick to get a REAL pointguard. Beno will do until we can draft better. Sheldon Williams is like a bad luck charm. When he comes in, it seems like the Kings go down by 20… If you have Miller and Williams are your front line, the opposite team does a layup drill. I wish there was a mythical team that would take these 2 winners off our hands. But even NY would turn up there noses to these 2… Miller is allergic to rebounds and Williams is a clumsy oaf !! We need to have a really good draft or 2 to improve this team because the Kings still have garbage that needs to be thrown out…. Namely KT, Miller, and Williams

Just as a quick note of reference

Utah Jazz – Starting Lineup

PG: Deron Williams: 24 years old
SG: Ronnie Brewer: 23 years old
SF: CJ Miles: 21 years old
PF: Paul Millsap: 23 years old
C: Mehmet Okur: 29 years old

Sacramento Kings – Starting Lineup
PG: Beno Udrih: 26 years old
SG: John Salmons: 29 years old
SF: Donte Greene: 20 years old
PF: Mikki Moore: 33 years old
C: Brad Miller: 30 years old

Now, which team is rebuilding and which one is a contender?

by Scirocco on Nov 28, 2008 8:51 PM PST reply actions   1 recs

What are you trying to say here? That younger players equate to a more talented team?

by jeremy548 on Nov 28, 2008 8:59 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

No, you missed the point

Rebuilding teams try to develop their young guys for the future. Contenders are the ones who play veterans and try to win as many ballgames as possible.

I’m well aware that with the young guys the on court product will not be as sharp as it is. Maybe we lose another 3 or 4 games because of it. But we’re not going anywhere with the veterans. Beno/Martin/Salmons/Brad Miller/Mikki Moore as a lineup isn’t taking us to the playoffs. I think this game would be make that obvious.

We SHOULD be focusing on developing youth. Jason Thompson, Spencer Hawes, Bobby Brown all have a chance to be contributors to the next great Kings team. All played less than 25 minutes today. And the only reason they even got that high was because it was garbagetime by the end of the third quarter.

The Jazz are throwing a younger lineup than we are for pete’s sake. And they are trying to win games. Reggie is so allergic to having a young lineup on the court that he’s willing to bring guys like BJax back from the dead to try to win. He can’t handle the young guys making mistakes, but apparently he can stomach the veterans blatantly sucking.

Reggie is like somebody stuck in a dark cave. He sees a hint of daylight from the path on the right, but the map clearly states the safest way out is going to the path on the left. He chooses to go right and gets burned. Again, another fork in the path, and again Reggie makes the same boneheaded error… over and over again.

Having a young lineup is not unheard of in the NBA, but Reggie feels so warm and cozy with scrubs like Mikki Moore because they don’t make the same mistakes, and yet half 1/10th the talent of some of the young guys.

by Scirocco on Nov 28, 2008 9:15 PM PST up reply actions   1 recs

I agree with you 100%, but your original post just had the point of “the Jazz are younger and successful” and “the Kings are older and not” which wasn’t much of a point :)

At any rate, you’re on point. It’s clear we need to get something positive out of this season by advancing the team in some kind of meaningful direction toward the future, and the current path we’re treading isn’t productive at all.

So long, Reggie!

We need to proceed into the REAL youth movement. Replace Miller with Hawes, Replace Moore with JT, Keep Salmons at the 2 but bench him and play Garcia when he’s having a bad shooting night (like every other game). Play Beno to start, but sprinkle in Brown, and Garcia at the point when Beno gets out of control. Martin starts at the 2. He’s the closest thing we have to a FOR SURE player on this team.

Sheldon Williams isn’t part of ANYONE’S future list. That LARDAZZ will be out of the league just as soon as his contract is up. If you cant see that you are dumb. Doesn’t take a genius to see he is playing out the string until he gets the axe. He is just a bad contract we traded Atlanta for to get rid of Bibby and his entourage. Same with Kenny Thomas. But unlike KT, SHELDON has never proven in the slightest way that he belongs on an NBA Roster. In fact, every time he plays, he uses the minutes to confirm the contrary. Only reason he hasn’t been waived is the money. THE MONEY! He is a HORRIBLE post defender. Do you watch any games?? His Offense is woeful. His balance and foot speed are atrocious. He has hands of stone. He is allergic to rebounds. He is as bad a player as I have seen in some time in the NBA. If I was Atlanta, I would FIRE the entire draft team that picked him 5th overall in 2006. That kind of incompetence is appalling !! Just to prove a point, here are the next 4 picks after SHELDON

6 Brandon Roy

7 Randy Foye

8 Rudy Gay

9 Patrick O’Bryant

Hell, I’d take any of those players over SHELDON. I’d actually take Kenny Thomas over SHELDON any day. The only person in the Williams home that can play ball is his wife. Until trash like KT, SHELDON, and yes even Quincy, are disposed of, this team is hopeless…. Kinda like your feeble attempts at logic… :-)

And as for the Youth Movement, none of us know what the directive is from the owners. Are they demanding win now or are they preaching patience and grooming the youth? Hard to tell what they are thinking when they are making contradictory statements in the press. Fact is, they should just let Petrie do his job and stop making it harder. If the Maloofs want to win now, you are going to see more of the same effort you saw tonight against Utah. A veteran squad with a lot of heart but little to no talent. Let’s face it, Playing with Brad Miller on the floor is like being on defense with only 4 guys. Beno is as bad a one on one defender as Bibby is. We can’t stop anyone on defense, and we are dead last percentage wise. Hawes gets blocks and plays D… Thompson gets rebounds and plays D… What is the though process behind not starting the kidz??

Lets hope that Reggie is allowed to coach the young players into a contender. He has some pieces, but he needs MORE PIECES. Kings need a better Point Guard. for starters. We need a better backup center than Miller, and a better backup Power Forward than Moore. We need more rebounders and less General Store Cigar Indians like the B52 Bummer or SHELDON. This rant was for those of us living in the REAL WORLD…

What is your obsession with Shelden?

Jeez

That’s all you talk about

That’s like a huge wall of text saying nothing.

I never said he was a good pick, Kings didn’t draft him so it doesn’t matter. Kings already made it clear Shelden won’t be part of the team by not picking up his contract. He’s going to be gone anyways. I don’t understand what your obsession with the guy is if he’s goign to be GONE ANYWAYS.

I mean seriously, all you post have been related to Shelden, you for some reason shifted your entire hatred toward him. Even though the guy gets close to no playing time.

How about you learn some basketball and actually analyze the real problems here? Your just spewing hatred over and over at him. Talk about beating a dead horse.

Why pile on the guy.

It’s like get a damn head and realize your arguing with no one for no particular reason.

I bet you’re just jealous he’s going out with Candace.

I was thinking more

of the crush-on-the-man variety myself. But, sure that works too.

Good

I doubt she eloped with someone else, but call me cynical.

A infatuation with a guy

who played just 4 minutes last night is ridiculous. Shelden is not even close to being this team’s problem when the guy doesn’t even play.

You’re a joke.
