New Lineup ?

I know this is a crazy idea(everyone wants JT to start),but what about this lineup?

Udrih,Martin,Salmons,S.Williams,Miller

Garcia,Douby,Green,Thompson,Hawes

Brown,B.Jackson,SAR???(Until Nov.?),Thomas,Moore

I understand this takes Garcia healthy, but I would have him bring the ball up & cover the best scorer(2 or 3),w/ Douby on the PG on D.

JT would still get maj. of mins. while being protected from early foul trouble, also I would like to see Hawes & JT develope 2gether on the floor.

A lot to like about the idea Hudson

After all Williams is physical and can match up players with that gives Miller trouble. I like the idea in the sense that pairing Brad with a more physical player who will play closer to the basket means that, like playing JT with Brad, means that Brad can be the high post player he needs to be all the time.

rotations...

I also like the idea of giving Shelden a shot over MIkki (if Mikki continues to struggle as he has) with the return of Miller. Are you suggesting a rotation that brings in the second five all at once? I think I heard that Portland was going to experiment with that approach before Oden got hurt, but don’t know if they ever did. Don’t really recall seeing that tactic employed… I’ve always presumed that it is too hard to actually implement with foul trouble and other match-up issues making coaches reluctant to give it a try.

Rotations

would still be normal, just trying to justify BJacks & Moore to 3rd team.Garcia could still play point w/ starters.CAN`T wait to see Garcia,Martin,Salmons,Thompson,Hawes on the floor at the same time!

You add Greene instead of Salmons

And I’m with ya.

This lineup would make that a reality.

No worries

It’s just that in a thread of 100 replys it will be hard to understand. That, wasn’t just for you either. There may be someone whose reading it who see’s that, and hopefully not do it too.

You'd hurt me

I was talking about the brain sir. And, that, too, was also a joke. Good Luck with the Bruce Lee maneuvering.

Nope don't like it

I have no problem playing Shelden over Mikki, but not with Miller. Miller has poor low post skills & Shelden isn’t a great low post threat either. While JT has the hops and skills to offensive rebound and score.

Hawes has the low post skills but doesn’t match up well with bigger low post centers. While Shelden has shown he can bang it with the best of them, and keep Hawse out of foul trouble at the same time. Swap Hawes for JT and I can buy it.

I can see the Douby & Garcia duo on defense with Douby taking the PG, but on offense neither is a great ball handler and I can see them getting double teamed and trapped alot. Also, against run & gun teams , I think Douby and Brown are a better defensive matchup.
