Some optionts to Point Guard

Well, since some days ago, we are thinking about a good; or young; Point Guard who plays as starter and I have think in some players:

-Marcus Williams: Perhaps, a trade which him and Harrington for Golden State and Salmons, DOuby and Williams for the Kings are the best option. Williams is a good shooter, young, talent and he only needs to play with confident.

-Javaris Crittenton: Some month ago, Iavaroni said that he had yet two PG; Lowry and Conley; and that Crittenton would play a little of minutes. He's a good defender, young and a very strong physical.

Williams no

Crittenton I would do especially if his ball handling developed to the point where playing Critt & Brown together was feasible, and Critt could guard the bigger guys. I would definitely do Critt, but I would have to trade somebody like Douby to get him, and I’m not sure that’s the type of return Memphis would look for. I would be willing to throw in Houston’s 1st rounder for next season, but I would only do that if Memphis balked at the initial offer.

Agreed

Williams (and Harrington) no way, Crittenton might be fine, either as a trade for Douby, or there might be an option of Crittenton for Shelden Williams if it was possible to include Damon Stoudemire’s waiver (do things go like that?). Memphis would welcome Shelden with Gasol, Warrick, Milicic, Arthur and Haddadi,or at least they have very little to lose with an expiring contact. Kings would welcome Crittenton as able to play both guard spots (as Pookey mentioned, plus he might be a nice substitute for Douby) while there are still four frontcourt players on the roster (actually five, including Thomas).

Nope you can't trade for a waived player

Shelden for Critt might not work under the salary cap. I just tried it under the ESPN trade checker and they said it did. I’m not really sure the Kings would want to move Shelden for Critt with Douby still around though. That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about waivers, Shelden alone is too expensive

My idea was to move Shelden (as I have similar opinions about Memphis willing Douby/Crittenton swap) and think about Quincy afterwards.

I'd rather keep Shelden cuz he can bang & board

Nobody else does that so well that it makes Shelden entirely dismissable. In my opinion anyway.

No, I am actually still quite high on Beno

Maybe I am just rather down on Quincy Douby and it might be fine to give him a chance somewhere else (that’s why Crittenton, partly a reserve PG, partly a reserve SG). Well, maybe I am rather high on Crittenton for some unjustifiable reason

well

maybe ur high on crittenton because he was soo hyped. iono i havnt seen anything from him. but if they wanna do a deal douby for crit straight up by all means PLEASE do it. we already know douby sucks balls

Patience is a virtue, Beno is hurt

Beno is still recovering from rust and a sore hip-flexor – if you’ve ever had one of those, it can be excrutiating. Give him a week or two, and youll be seeing his steady 12pt – 6 ast games.

I'm not down on Beno

I just think people are over-reacting to a crappy situation to start the season.

Or Kevin really

But I’m not enthusiastic either.

Reserving judgement

I’m giving Beno the benefit of the doubt he’s still recovering/rusty and hoping for the best. Its too soon to give up, but so far, his play has been excrutiating.
