A month of downtime for a strained calf

seems excessive to me. I’m old but I heal faster than that.

Not so sure

I had the same issue, just recently as a matter of fact – and it takes a few weeks for it just to feel normal. But then it’s another month or more for it to fully heal. And I don’t have to play pro basketball.

Of course, he has great trainers helping him with therapy. But it is an injury that’s easy to reaggrivate.

Well, that's what I get

Playing a little pickup game, went up for a rebound against my high school basketball team (and football) boy and suffered a broken finger today. Now I have to type with one hand. lol

Maybe the injury just wasn't improving

Better than pushing him to play when he just isn’t ready.

We're pretty well invested in Francisco

Let’s not push him to be a part of the three wins we have to look forward to over the next two weeks.

We can win more than 3.

I see us beating Golden State, the Clippers, the Pistons and the Spurs, so thats about 4 of our next 5.

Maybe more time for double E

That may come soon. Salmons has been playing a lot of minutes

We need him

But the schedule looks OK for the next 4-5 games. Hopefully we have enough swing players to get it done. I do think we have an extra big now and need another guard to be available off the bench. That will probably happen at the trade deadline.

I agree

We should definitely beat the Warriors, Clippers, Spurs at the least. The Pistons and Suns look more daunting but we match up well with the Pistons because beside Rasheed Wallace, they don’t have much size.

Yep, the Bright Side

Is more minutes for Brown and other youngsters. We saw last night how JT’s minutes got impacted by the return of Brad Miller, and also by the surprising effectiveness of Mikki Moore in the first quarter.

I really hope Mikki doesn't make this whole "playing well" thing into a habit

His complete uselessness was making it really hard for Theus to avoid starting JT. I really think the rook has earned a starting spot. Yes, he’s a rookie and hasn’t “paid his dues” but too damned bad. If the higher up want the youngsters to play, and Theus wants to win, then wouldn’t it make the most sense to play the youngster that can contribute to a win rather than the old guy who has done little to nothing? There’s no reason our front court rotation to be Miller, Hawes, and JT with some SWill sprinkled in there as well. We have no need for playing the PF that lucked into a contract simply because he got to play with Jason Kidd.
