And once again Kings 2nd round pick, Sean Singletary, is dealt as trade fodder

Napear: "Going in to the final timeout what did the coach tell you?"
Bibby: "I asked the coach if I should go and he said, I don't really know what he said."

If he can hang around in the league for a few years he'll have been on every roster.

Well IW you can add another team you "follow"

to the list of the Sixers, Mavs, Spurs, Suns, Kings and now Bobcats. Hehe. (Sorry bro, had to say it, even if it’s totally wrong.)

Believe it or not, I find the move interesting, but I think it’s one that makes the Suns maybe better for this season, if not in the long term. Richardson has the talent to make plays on 2 ends, and truthfully, is far better in the system that Porter will run than the one that Larry Brown was running in Charlotte. However, the interesting part is that Bell already knows Brown, and how he works, and certainly won’t have a problem with that. My question is how will he take to living in Charlotte after living in Phoenix for years. Ditto with Diaw who pretty much revived his career playing for D’Antoni after 3 awful years in the Atl.

Bottom line, this is a rare NBA trade that really works for both teams, and probably will for at least several years. However, the only question is how the money impact for both the Suns and Bobcats (Richardson with the higher base salary, and the longer contract with Diaw) will effect them long term. Raja Bell will be a much needed role player that the B’s lack, and ultimately, as I’ve said several times now, this is a trade that makes a great deal of sense.

eh

Might as well follow the Bobcats, though Raja has no part on that roster… he is a playoff vet, I’m not sure how he’ll handle an uncompetitive environment. His defense will only lower the number of weakside blocks Okafor and Wallace total. Hopefully he can inspire the team, give them a bit more tenacity. Otherwise, I’d rather see him go to the Hornets, or Spurs (wouldn’t that be funny… on many levels), heck, even the Mavericks.
Diaw is an overweight never-lived-up-to-his-pay replacing another overweight never-lived-up-to-his-pick in Sean May, so I don’t see the logic there, truthfully. Diaw isn’t going to lock anybody down. Hell, he doesn’t even carry locks, just got some silly string.

Phoenix Stan disagrees with you

He blasts Steve Kerr (again).

Diaw is a promise never filled

Raja Bell is a pro’s pro. He wil perform because that is what he does. He might not like it, but he will play and play hard. I don’t think he knows how not to and he will inspire.

I'm suprised

You didn’t mention the crittenton trade. I knew you were big on getting conley. So, do you still think there is any way conley gets traded now?

In his proposal...

Udrih is part of the package that goes to Memphis for Conley, so they’d still have Lowry & Udrih.

I may be wrong, but the basis of his proposal remains mostly unchanged.

Completely unchanged actually

I thought Conley was available because Crittenton was favored

Now that Conley seems to be their starting PG why would they trade him for Beno?

The idea

…was that Udrih would fit in with Mayo better than Conley. It wasn’t about Crittenton.

(regarding the smaller trade)

i wonder if that means conley won’t be traded now? their PG options are down to him and lowry…unless they decide to use jaric at point again.

and man, they gave away crittenton for basically a pick?

by sactoreg on Dec 11, 2008 5:01 AM PST reply actions

To be fair...

They did it to get their own pick back, which should be rather high.
