"We weren't progressing," [Joe] Maloof said. "We were regressing instead of progressing. We didn't get the sense we were going anywhere. We were spinning on wheels. You can't have those kinds of home losses. We were losing games by 20 points."
...
"Every owner wants to win immediately," Maloof said. "The owners wouldn't be where they are if they didn't have that kind of competitive drive. They're just as competitive as the players and coaches. You're right there on the court. You can feel it. You can see it when they're not performing the way you think they should. You've got to have something that the fans can grasp and hold onto."

Well let's see
Aldridge’s article is full of error’s (some obvious, and some less obvious, but still error’s for a “journalist” of his supposed caliber).
But this is my absolute favorite favorite favorite of them all:
But the lack of development of some of Sacramento’s other players, like guard Francisco Garcia, played a part as well, Joe Maloof said.
Go back to covering the Les Boulez for the Post David. You really suck ass at covering basic things like Spencer Hawes and Jason Thompson.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on
I love Aldridge
I think he’s one of the best.
I think in this instance, I think Joe is citing a player who we all thought would greatly benefit from Theus’ tutelage who isn’t doing much differently.
Also, how much do we credit Theus for Hawes/Thompson? JT just got to the NBA. Hawes’ amazing improvement seems to have happened over the summer.
How much can we really expect Garcia to improve?
This is his 4th year in the league. He came in older than most rookies. What you see is what you get, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And quite frankly, I think he’s gotten the chance to really shine under Theus and has become our energy guy. But he’s never going to be a huge star in the league, and I don’t think anyone saw it that way.

Uh what?
He also said the Kings played the Lakers in the WCF in 2003. Are you sure Joe made that quote too? Cmon, get real. It was a complete retarded thing written outside of Joe’s quotes, and umm, I’ve made my views clear on Joe’s public speaking ability.

In otherwords
It was a hack job by a hack writer with a national name. Enuf said. I’m out before I become more enraged. (And David Aldridge should know better. But he doesn’t.)

On a lighter, slightly related note...
This is the most Homepage action I’ve ever gotten on StR. Go me!
At least Joe Maloof is a competitor
Did you see his line of bullshit at the end of the article. No, Joe, you’re not a competitor, your a spoiled brat asshole that was blessed to have a lot of money and very little public speaking sense.
The more you guys work the trade machine, the happier I am GP is our GM.
That is some serious bullshit
Because a real competitor would know that he has one of the best GMs in the business and would give that GM free reign to do what he does best, which is create a fun and exciting team that can win it all.

Wow, Aldridge did make some huge mistakes
Mentions Theus as Adelman’s replacement. No word of Musselman

Sure
They get the idea of selling tickets…they are businessmen after all. I’m not sure saying “we are three years away from being good” is beneficial advertising.

Yeah -
They don’t want me changing my name from “section214” to “big_ass_sitting_on_couch_at_home.”

The team sucks
I mean, we are really, really bad. Reaaaaaallllllllllly baaaaaad. I don’t care who the coach is, because it doesn’t matter.
If Brad Miller plays as bad as he has all year, this isn’t getting any better soon unless some new bodies walk through the door. Brad is the key, and if he’s going to play like he’s in a stoned trance, then trade him or sit his ass down and put somebody else in there.
Kenny Natt, welcome to the big time. You are next up on the BBQ. The first time YOU lose by 20 is the last time you will feel at home in that job.
I wouldn’t rush to get a new coach unless it’s really the guy you want. I mean, how many coaches do you want to be paying for at one time?
Reggie, good luck in the Final Four.
