The thing about Miller is that - based on conversations with executives, coaches and agents around the league - the interest in him continues to be lukewarm.

I don't blame GM's
He is playing absolutely HORRIBLE this year. He is already the most unathletic big in the League and he does himself no favors on the defensive end with his lack of fundamentals. (And thankfully, I missed the Celtics debacle). At the Raptors game last week, I could not believe how the Raptor bigs were OWNING him. I have NEVER in all of my life watching NBA ball (shit, any level for the matter) seen a Big man mis-time soooo many rebounds. To make matters worse, after mis-timing rebound after rebound (of course JO and CB4 picked them up for the easy 2nd chance opportunities) he would throw his flabby arms around and look for help from the refs. Unbelievable-
I’m disgusted with Brad and I’m sure other GM’s around the league are too, hence, its no surprise to me that interest in him is Lukewarm.

It could be worse
I’ll take luke warm over Luke Walton. Is there a more overrated 10th man in the league?

Not bloody likely
Though the lovable and smart Phil Jackson kept him happy by giving him some starts recently. But yeah, not the best contract for a team loading with salaries.

the lakers factor
Pretty much everyone on that roster is “overrated” if you think about it. Bynum was hyped up to be the next Hakeem, the way people talk about Trevor Ariza you’d think he’s getting a 60 million payday this summer, Derek Fisher had one good game with the Jazz in the playoffs but wasn’t that notorious otherwise, haven’t heard anything in the media about Turiaf since he left, and Pau Gasol was the big softie who couldn’t make it out of the first round till he got on the Lakers. And some people still think Kobe is Jesus.

Ummm you forget .04 seconds
Spurs fans shouldn’t ever forget that. I can’t forget it, and I’m neither a Spurs or Lakers fan.

Well, I can't stand Kobe
But I was at Game Seven back in ‘02, and I’ll say now what I said then:
“I’d trade any two of our guys for him.”
And that was when we had two guys worth trading. Again, the guy pisses me off to no end, but he is going to win the game, and he’s going to drag his teammates along with him no matter what. I hate to say it, but you let Kobe switch uniforms with any Kings player in that game, and we have at least 3 Championship banners hanging in Arco.
That being said, screw the Lakers.

by "not that notorious otherwise"
I meant as a Jazz, not a Laker. I’m a Spurs fan, believe me I know about .04 seconds. Got me thrown out of a bar.

Okay, yeah I figured you knew what it was
So that didn’t make any sense to me. So, in that sense, I apologize. (And that’s an interesting story in of itself.)

Not surprised
Brad Miller put off his steep decline last season, but at his age, with his athleticism, you could have seen this coming. It’s tough to pick up a guy for the postseason that doesn’t play any defense at all.

And it isn't playing anywhere near offensively well enough to make an impact
I’ve always feared trading Miller was just my stupid pipe dream, and now my fears are up front & personal.

I'll be happy
if we get table scraps for Miller like we got in the Bibby trade. The youth movement needs to happen now.

I take this with a grain of salt.
Do you really expect scouts and GMs to gush over Miller to a Sacramento reporter, thereby surrendering any bargaining edge they might have had?

We will most likely know what Miller's trade market was

That could be another trade scenario
Yowzah—2 in one day? This might be a new record for even me.
And, yes, I’m going to propose a Dallas trade scenario.

I take this back
I’m not really sure how this would work, and to be quite honest, there isn’t any player on the Mavs roster I really want other than Barea or Bass. So in a sense, I may not propose something of a trade. It’s going to be hard to get what I’m really after here, but I’ll try I think.

Where on ESPN did you see this? Insider? What? I wanna link something attributing Carlisle’s interest, rather than just writing it.

I think he might have seen it on NBA Coast to Coast. I was watching for a bit but then the Kings games started so I switch the channel
