In February of 2007, Tisdale fell and broke his leg. Over the next 22 months, he endured a cancer diagnosis followed by bouts of chemotherapy so painful that he sometimes refused to let his children see him. Gotta like the guy, as he generally played hard, if not well. He wasn’t the right fit for this team, but then again, with Dick Motta around, neither was Danny Ainge, a guy who helped the Celtics win 2 rings.
If you don’t like Tizzy, and what he brought to the game, you could never truly appreciate how great a sport basketball is.
