Kevin Martin Will Play

From Melody Gutierrez:

"I'm going to give it a go," said Martin, who has been out with a left ankle injury that included bone bruises. "It's just getting better every day and that's all I can ask for. I feel ready to go."

Welcome back, Kevin. Help us find a way out.

Dark Forest redux?

Who cares. It was great the first time around, and it hasn’t lost any luster. Well, to me, anyway, it hasn’t.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on

Well

It was either the dark forest or a big pool of shit. I prefer the dark forest.

You should have had him say

“Hello.”

“Hello.”

“Hello.”

Coming to you live from the land of interim coaches.

Yeah, hope he's really healthy this time

It’s now time to trade Salmons and free Donté

The Clips are just as miserable a team as we are

Plus they don’t have their best scorer and we do. With that loss to the Celtics still in their heads this better be an ass whooping. Anything else is unacceptable.

Okay… I lied, any win will be acceptable

A win with no injuries please. Pretty please?

Caveat

I think it’s less impressive to know what it means than to know how to spell it right… Sheesh

Don't be so hard on yourself

At least you’re not George W Bush.

Why?

You mean he doesn’t know how to spell caveat and ALSO doesn’t know what it means?

There's a saying in Texas, maybe in Tennessee, but at least in Texas

That says, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well you can’t get fooled again. :)

Actually

From what I understand W’s spelling is perfect.

His speaking abilities, on the other hand…

You don't have to convince me that GWB is not literally an idiot

What you have to convince me is why, oh wait no, nevermind. Homophobia explains 2004.

I think I might actually kind of look up to him a bit

He's an overachiever :)

ya gotta give him that

He's quick too

Did you see him dodge those shoes?

Also, Bush has been very successful in making the his friends in the oil business and the rich in general richer at the expense of the rest of us. It’s all about perspective, I suppose.

Yah

He’s almost as speedy as Kevin Martin!

Shamelessly trying to get a Kings reference in all this.

Did you see the guy next to him block one of the shoes?

Maybe we can sign him to a 10-day soon and get some defensive help

Kings are 3-6

when KMart plays (3-5 when he starts). That’s quite a bit better than our record without him: 4-18. Or .333 versus .182. Yikes.

by DustyG on Dec 30, 2008 4:30 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Keep in mind

Kevin hasn’t played that well. He hasn’t played horribly, but he hasn’t been at his normal level. He’s only averaging 20ppg. With some more time to get in his rhythm he’ll be a force and we might stand a chance.

www.mancancook.net

by vfettke on Dec 30, 2008 5:47 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Guy's only played 9 games

He had a slow start, but after the first 4 games Kevin averaged 28.7 PPG the next 3 games before getting hurt. Not only that, he played 2 games hurt coming back early. Only reason his average is so low is because of his 9, 14 and 8 points. Take those out and he’s averaging 26 PPG.
