Kings Tanking ???

I just want to know what you guys think. Ever since the All-Star break I had very high hopes for this team. I didn't expect us to get into the playoffs. But I did expect us to at least be around .500 right now with our standings. I'm even more pissed than I was last season because last season we never really played good against hard teams, but this season we showed just how tough we can be against GREAT teams. The team also made it fun to watch them again and they never give up until the final horn. When I look at this team now I don't see or feel the desire they had in the beginning of the season.

I don't know that this team is tanking
I think they're severly dis-jointed and heading several directions all at the same time. The cumulation of the multi year drama/dis-jointness seems to be wearing on everyone involved too.

Tanking?
I'll tell you what tanking is:

Theus don't play Artest, Martin, Brad, Beno in the 4th quarter of a close game and gambles on

Douby, Garcia, Salmons, S.Williams and S.Hawes.

Another version of tanking is activating K9 (woof!) and putting him in the rotation.

No Evidence of tanking.
It has already been a long, difficult season with more disruptions than usual--injuries, key players on the trading block, new coaching staff and internal conflicts.

Now that the team is all but out of the playoff picture, it will become a real challenge for Theus to keep the team motivated and playing at a high level.  Some players will just want the season to end, while others will focus on their personal stats.

With a majority of the players, there will be a feeling of uncertainty and apprehension.

No, we're not "tanking" but the result may be about the same as if we were--bunches of losses

Are you serious?
Does anyone recall the beginning of the season when we were all debating who we wanted the Kings to draft with their top-3 pick?  This team has exceeded all expectations this season.  Sadly, they still aren't a great team, and they're stuck in the Western Conference at a time when there are 10 legit contenders in the West alone.
