Must suck to be a fan of that team.

namecalling an idiot is something I try not to do, as I see it as pointless as printing "Caution:Hot" on my coffee cup. But, I always appreciate it when someone else does, somehow it's more satisfying.

I live in the heart of fairweather-Yankee-fan-country (biggest indication: how quickly it's turned into Redsox-fan-country). I'm trying to pick-up watching baseball, and requisite to that is picking a favorite team. Figure'd I'd pick a team in the neighborhood, that way I can actually see the team occasionally. I love the Yankee history, the legends, the stories, I'd love to be a fan of them; but I can't be part of such an obnoxious fanbase. I hate RedSoxNation, so being a Yankee fan would be even sweeter. My brother's a RedSox fan, so it'd be even more sweeter (yes, I recognize the gramatical incorrectness). But goddamn I hate fans talking about how great a team is when they don't know anything about it. Hate it. Ten bucks says the vast majority of us know more about the Lakers than this fool.

So, it's either the Mets or the Phillies for me.

If the Grizz didn't give the Lakers Gasol, they would be in the same place the Kings are. After the Bynum injury, the Lakers had no chance of holding on the way other teams are playing in the West. So thank your lucky stars that the Grizzlies management if mentally challenged.

Shaq proved he can win another Ring with the same "type" of players. I'm not even going to bring Kobe into this because I respect him as a player. What amazes me
is why you would waste your time coming over here. If we had a team as good as the Lakers we wouldn't waste our time crapping on others - we'd be too insanely happy to worry about anyone else.

Think about this - our best center was Vlade Divac. He's maybe #4 on the Laker list behind Wilt, Kareem and Shaq, and Bynum may pass him, too. You have a tremendous team with a tremendous heritage.

Why are you wasting your time here? Is your life that empty? Can you not find happiness unless you are trying to make someone else miserable?

Good God, sir (or madam)! Your team is fighting for the top spot in the west and you have to fill your time by attempting to screw with the fans of the 11th seeded team?

Perhaps it is because deep down you know that you have nothing to do with "your" team's success, and that makes you feel very empty inside.

How bizarre. You are a fan of perhaps the best team in the NBA right now, yet I feel very sorry for you, as you will never truly enjoy their success. My sympathies.

Just like Cowboy Fan, they only show up when their team is winning.  But just like the Cowboys, out of the playoffs early.  He is also quick to throw THE GUY under the bus that got him all of those rings in recent years, Shaq.  Kobe hasn't won anything without him, which tells me something...hmmmm...maybe Kobe can't do it alone.  

Listen Truth Teller, the only reason the Lakers are where they are is..ta da...Pau Gasol.  Not Kobe.  Just because the NBA couldn't have the Lakers go out too early, with a possibility of not making the playoffs (this would have meant both the largest and second largest TV markets not in the playoffs, the other of course NY) so money took over and the NBA allowed Gasol to go to LA for a bag of crap.  

so now they have a winning record and every loud mouth laker fan wants to pile of the kings and their fans.  if you are that concerned about the kings then your priorities are way off.  i hate it when fans say "we can go 4-78 but as long as we beat our rival four times that is all that matters". well enjoy that Rivals Championship Ring they dish out...er, wait they don't do that, nevermind.

go ahead and take our water because you can't get any of your own, live in that hell-hole valley where you can't see the fake hooters in front of your face, and you superficial life-style and stay the hell down there.

I sat through the 2nd worst season EVER by a football team, the '88 Cowboys @ 1-15. Some of us are dedicated, some of us are like Bulls/Yankee fans, only there for the winning. I was a fan o The 'Boys before Montana made the scene so siddown please.

Now on to TT. Yes, buddy, you're a douchebag in the extreme, and don't know jackshit if you think the Lakers ever got ANYTHING done w/o a dominant center: Mikan, Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, and O'neal. Quit smokin that stuff, it's bad for your teeth.

Secondly, if you knew your team was the better team during all those playoff series, you wouldn't come around here talkin' that shit. Your 'dynasty' team was shoddy and couldn't beat the Kings or the '76ers without a whole heap o referee.

Yet you did make one point.

The Kings historically aren't good enough to make the playoffs, but never suck badly enough to pick up a major talent draft-wise. I would like to see the team totally tank the rest of the season, the fans come out in force, and not bitch about it. We could be watching great ball in a year or two if we'd just SUCK IT UP a bit.
