Kevin Martin on the cover of NBA 2k9?

Could it be possible? They have been taking up and coming players (such as this years, Chris Paul) and Kevin is currently the most productive scorer in the league. He has all the makings to be a top 3 scorer due to how many times he gets to the freethrow line a night and is currently sixth in league in scoring behind the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson and Amare Stoudemire. Last time i checked thats pretty elite company! And to think none of those guys play with the ball hog that is Ron Artest.

He also shoots the least amount of shots per game of any player in the top 10. I really think there could be a market for the first Sacramento King to ever grace the cover of a video game. I know if it were to happen it might be the first time i buy more than just one copy of a game.

Ummm... ur argument is quite weak. Because Chris Paul is the only young and coming player on the cover of 2K the last couple of year. And CP3 is a MVP Candidate.

Last two years it was Shaq, it was Ben Wallace the year before and AI graced the cover for like 5-6 years.

I think they go CP3 again or Brandon Roy. Possibly Monta Ellis.

Not gonna happen

2K Games has a tendency to use one player over and over quite a bit. They used CP3 this year, Shaq for a couple, Ben Wallace once, and like Kingme said they used AI for 5-6 years. Chris Paul's an MVP candidate and if I recall correctly he might even have a long term endorsement deal with them. Brandon Roy has potential to be there, and so does Greg Oden soon too. Even Durant. K-Mart would definitely be picked over Ellis because of looks, in my opinion. K-Mart is halfway decent looking while Monta looks like an alien. Besides, I think EA (with offices in Redwood City) would probably snatch up Ellis before 2K could.

However, if we have an Artest-less year and Kevin can have a breakout year than he could land a cover. And no, I do not think that the past two seasons have been breakout years for Kevin. These are the "hey, look what I can do even though I play with a couple of ball hogs (Bibby and Artest)."

Ben Wallace can be on the cover of a video game, then i would say Kevin might get a chance. Haha how bad of a year is it when Big Ben is who you want to put on the cover of a video game.

Mitch Richmond (NBA Live 97) & Chris Webber (NBA Shootout 2001, Playstation) have both appeared on the cover of video games, so this wouldn't exactly be the first time.
