Totally not trying to pick on you, I've just been thinking for the last couple of months how far fans have changed in their opinion of Shawes this year.  I'll admit to being one of them.  

He's shown more than expected (admitting that I cringed when he claimed he needed more playing time.)

He's played so well as a 19 year old rookie, now I can't even begin to fathom his upside.  

Was he underated in the draft?  Or am I just scratching for positives this year?  

I hate those commercials, but I hate fans mocking their team's players looks more.  But that's just me.    

He's got somthin' Candace finds hot, so unless you can pull Candace type quality, y'all need to stop!

Only the second half will tell whether they are outclassed tonight or not.  

Fun game to watch so far. I'd like it better if the Kings were up by five though.

I hope the team finds a way to trade him to a team that can use him.  It's not his fault he's overpaid for his skills...in another situation, he might be appropriately priced for his skills.  

I really don't think he's an overpaid bum, I just think he's in a bad situation and he's dealing with it well.  Is he overpaid?  On this team, yes.  Is he a bum?  No way.  

I think he's a better player than the role he's been given.  Somewhere else he does have some value.  

End rant.  I don't love the guy, but I think he's handling a bad situation pretty well, and he didn't make it in the first place.  

I think another team could use him.

OK...seriously ending rant now.

Again, just my opinion.  

The Kings are not the right team for him, but there's room for him in the league.  Jeebus Gawb awmighty!  He's a much better player than Paul Shirley and 30,000 other players who have been paid to play in the NBA.  Boom though, anyone?

Not a good fit on this team, not an attractive contract (did his previous GM have a loaded pistol held to his head while he agreed that KT had earned that contract?) for trading purposes.  Has anyone in the history of the world ever turned down more money to do the same job?  Was there a loaded pistol held to Geoff Petrie's head when he agreed to take on Thomas's contract?

Was there a loaded pistol held to Petrie's head when he traded Stojakovich for Artest?  I'm guessing no since there were no police reports posted on the Bee.

I suspect they were both just bad gambles on the part of Kings management that didn't work out.

I'm still voting you in to the StR HOF third...or sixth behind the SB family.  

Gotta love how Sheldon's bruising on the block. Is it me or does he remind ya of Boozer?Got some good weight on that frame the man does.

Now to Reggie: This was one of the few games this year that I felt Reggie coached poorly - well coaching poorly in the 4th quarter anyway. There was no excuse for not having Hawes in the game the last half of the 4th. Nor was there any excuse for sitting Beno so long in the 4th when it was obvious (a) Douby can't dribble or play the point and (2) Douby can't guard Parker (or most PGs).

The last 3 or 4 minutes the Spurs simply clogged the lane and dared us to shoot jumpers. (Of course, we decided to go 1 on 5 most of the time, but, hey, Salmons got away with it most of the night, so it is tough to get down on him.) Sheldon might as well not even have been on the floor because the Spurs were playing 4 on 5, totally ignoring him because they knew he was no threat to score. Hawes would have stretched the defense because of his shooting and/or we could have run the high post offense through him to bring out there big men and allow cutters.

Poor coaching by Theus: He didn't see the match ups or understand the best chance we had of scoring and winning.

And to make matter worse, Theus decides that giving Sheldon the ball on the block to win the game was the best play.  Bad 4th quarter for Theus.
