So it begins. We’ll have roughly 250 more of these over the next two months.

Good God!
I assume he doesn’t have the same agent as Bonzi Wells right?

Whatever
Who lets their agent run their life? I mean, if it’s about the teams that have cap room this year, just say that. Does Ron check with his agent on what to eat for dinner and which shoes he should wear that day?

Every NBA player in the L
lets their agent run their life, because listening to your agent means you make more money (assuming your agent is not a dumbass). I mean, look at the pedigree of his agent: [http://hoopshype.com/agents/mark_stevens.htm Mark Stevens]. Look at all those players, look how much money he’s accumulated for all those guys. When a guy has that kind of pedigree, you got to listen to him.
Oh yeah, forgot to factor in the fact that a player has to intelligently choose his agent. Whoops.

Hmmm,
Should I respond to this quote or should I wait until tomorrow’s quote, or quote after that?

Sigh...
no, seriously. I can’t take the RA quotes anymore. I may actually cry if I have to read one more article about RA or another quote by RA.
Read his blog here
There is nothing he says that means anything. http://www.hiphopgame.com/index2.php3?page=ronartestjournal >” target=”_blank”>
And this is the player Reggie Theus commits to?

Don't forget what an agent's job is.
They are hired, and compensated based on getting the most money for their client. Artest’s agent is right on the money thinking he better wait another season to get some more space between him and his past issues.
If I’m artest’s agent I’m thinking what is the market for small forward’s right now? Even great ones… It’s low, the league is overfilled with zealous 3-players. Even someone with ron’s versatility is replacable because you can get a cheap 3, then dedicate more money to getting a top-end center or point guard, someone that really changes the game.
Unless you’re someone like Lebron James would is THE small forward of the league, and does change games being a small-forward is a huge disadvantage to anyone. To earn a salary above the mid-level exception for a SF is in itself an achievement in my eyes.
And yeah… Bonzi’s agent is a moron for not doing his homework first, never leave your job unless you have a better one lined up, speculation on employment, especially at the proffsional level is downright stupid.

One other thing,
I should have hit the humor button before posting. I wasn’t trying to be rude or a Keyboard Warrior with my response. I sympathize, I do. Unless I sympathise. I’m not sure.

Day-to-Day
Take it all with a grain of salt, or in Ron’s case, a dose of Xanax.
I love Ron as much as the next dweeb, however tomorrow he may enlist in the Peace Corps, or decide to become a man of the cloth, perhaps announcing a desire to become the first African American to win the Daytona 500.
As astute and accurate as dkons21’s comments may be regarding the role of sports agents and the current marketability for small forwards, his agent, Mark Stevens, is no mensa member and voices his mercurial opinions much in the same fashion as his client—that is to say, he employs his mouth more often than his brain.
If the Wise One can move Mr. Artest in a sign and trade scenario, don’t you think he’ll pull the lever this time? We won 38 games with Ron as the focal point. He averaged 20 ppg and we missed the postseason by 12 games. This team will be no better next season with Ron gobbling late-game possessions.
This won’t happen because the “Theusocracy” will demand more meaningless wins next year at the expense of future viability, but a smarter, less egotistical skipper would start Salmons, Moore, Hawes, Kevin, and Cisco. If the draft takes a fortuitous turn and we bag a point guard of the future, start him and bring Cisco off the bench for significant 6th man minutes.

I do concur.
I believe the greatest value that could be achieved out of Ron would be to get him to take a hydra, preferably KT since I would much rather see Reef have a break-out comeback, in exchange for a legit power forward.
Without throwing any names out I would not mind in the least if our rotations next season looked like
Udrih/draftee
Kevin/douby
Salmons/cisco
legitPF/moore
Miller/Shawes.
I do still prefer shawes off the bench, though I take no issue with him playing increased time or even playing some power forward just because him and miller together in theory could be a fairly entertaining combination.

Be Careful What You Ask For
The Kings were 15-26 in games in which Salmons started this season. Scary.

How many of those games
were played without Martin and/or Bibby and/or Beno? There are other factors in those losses than Salmons starting.

I don't think anything became clear
other than Brad Miller revived a bit of his value.
