let 'Spoiler Week' begin
Im excited to finally put up my 1st post, so bare with me. Well Kings fan after years of being spoiled with fancy passes, great teams, an late season playoff dreams, the time has come to reassume the role that our old friends Mitch Richmond, the Big Nasty and the L-Train provided us many years ago... or that Ron Ron and Kevin Martin gave us last year. The opportunity to be spoiler has returned, for the 2nd straight year (your welcome Warrior fans). Goodbye March, April madness has officially arrived.
The essentials:
*4 out of next 5 games are against teams fighting 4 position in the Western Conf. playoffs
*The final 7 games are all against .500 or better teams. Portland being the only team not in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Playing Denver, the Dubs from down the street in Oracle (yikes), New Orleans, the Spurs, not to mention Bean & the hated Lakers... Twice including the final game in Staples on tax day.
There is a great opportunity 4 our Kings make a big pay off going into the off-season with. some quality wins and effect what will go down as one of the greatest Conference playoff pushes maybe in the NBA and maybe pro sports history, as well as make some or just make sure Captain Jack or AI come fishin with us this year. Somebody the Kings play over the next 2 weeks will be sitting home watching on TV. Might as well throw a nice welcome to the Lottery and 1st round exit party with a little cowbell love.

Dude you have an interesting diary
- One learn some diary formatting tips. (Actually better get used to them being called fan posts since that's what they're changing to.)
- Don't use the w/ please. (I realize it means without.) But, one it looks bad, and two not everyone knows what it means.
- Run on's are hard to read. Please don't use them when writing.
This by no way is a criticism of you. We all have to learn the format here of what works and what doesn't. We all make mistakes (just look back to March of 07 if you want to see how bad some of my stuff was--long long paragraph without breaks--and rambling points that made no sense--just to name a few), so don't take this personally. It's not designed to shame or pick on you. It's just designed to help format your future diaries/post's better.
yeah
Also, you can edit your diary/fanpost, which is useful if you wanna try out some of the stuff.
Yeah about those abbreviations...

Certainly
McCovey Chronicle's
All that said, I also (greatly) prefer the term 'Diary' to fan post.

I'm one of the few people who didn't
The new style has some good points, and some bad ones, I think mostly the fan posts vs the diaries, I never once thought negatively of diaries in any way, and it will be interesting to see what kind of things garner attention over the course of time.
The Old Blog
You do a great job
lol who cares about his formatting
thats what they get for talking shit after we kicked their ass last time.
The "Yeah they will have a lot of fun watching us in the playoffs" comment hopefully comes back to bite them in the ass!
I've gotta admit
They are giving up 108.3 ppg - dead last in the NBA. More proof that they are just a gimmick team that could make some waves in the playoofs, but isn't a legit contender.
Completely agree
I only care
39 Wins
Here are the games:
- Saturday, April 5: at Denver.
- Sunday, April 6: vs. Lakers.
- Tuesday, April 8: at Golden State.
- Friday, April 11: vs. Portland.
- Saturday, April 12: vs. New Orleans.
- Monday, April 14: vs. San Antonio.
- Tuesday, April 15: at Lakers.

Yeah...
Back-to-backs
The Warriors play us two nights after facing the Hornets in New Orleans and two nights before hosting Denver.
New Orleans comes into town after playing at the Lakers the night before. San Antonio also plays the Lakers in LA before coming here.
The last Lakers game could possibly be meaningless in terms of the standings and the Lakers could be resting some folks ahead of the playoffs.

Both Laker games...
37 or 38
It's funny that at the beginning of the season I looked at this team and predicted a 35 - 38 win team. At the time, though, I felt negative about the team and its prospects. I feel differently now. Suddenly, 37 or 38 wins sounds OK because I see an upside for this team (though it's 2 or 3 years away). Moreover, these guys play their collectives asses off nearly every game. I can very easily cheer for this bunch.
I feel good
