Artest Interviews Kobe

This very nearly requires 'holy sh*t' treatment:

Sacramento Kings Forward, NBA star Ron Artest, interviews the NBA's 2007-08 MVP Player of the Year, LA Laker's Superstar Kobe Bryant, on FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show, Period." The interview will first air on FSN, Friday, May 23 at 11:00pm local time.

Artest and Bryant discuss the game of basketball, Bryant's 2007-08 MVP Player of the Year Award, Bryant's Nike commercial and whether he really did jump over the speeding Aston Martin, speak on fatherhood and compare notes on common interests their children have, and more. The interview was conducted earlier this week at the Laker's practice facility on Monday, May 19 and shows the talented basketball stars conversing in a light-hearted, upbeat, humorous tone.

Well at least we get to know what Ron's doing this summer...

I am just hoping this doesn’t end with him beating up Jim Rome or something like that, but seriously it is nice to see Ron being normal.

This is AWESOME

I hope that Friday is a success and Ron launches his own YouTube channel. Then, once a week, before games, he could interview an opponent and post the video. It would be an effective leveraging of new media to launch a post-playing broadcast career. And it would help record sales.

Helping record sales would suggest there are records being sold in the first place.

(I kid, Ron. We love you!)

I saw a preview for it the other night

the last question he asks is “10 seconds left in the game, you are down 1 and i’m guarding you. How do you try to score on me?”

looks like a pretty good interview even though i hate everything and everyone associated with the Lakers.
