PrintAilene Voison noted on her blog yesterday that Geoff Petrie has been spending some time scouting the Euro talent (Voison also notes on the previous day's blog that Rob from Roseville is hilarious, so maybe we should take this information with the old silo of salt).
With the #12 #1, #42 and #45 picks, what do you think the odds are that Petrie picks up a player or two from Europe?

Gallinari and Batum figure to be gone in the 1st round, as well as Alexis Ajinca. Ante Tomic was highly rated at one point but has dropped off the draft boards.

I'd be more intrigued by Tomic
if I had more confidence in the Kings fitness staff. But, looking at the skinny legs of Douby, Martin, Cisco, Mikki and the lack of bulk generation from Spence, alongwith noted physical fitness disappointments with Miller, K-9, Bonzi. Throw that in with further concerns that the medical staff aren’t necessarily the best at keeping big men healthy (namely big men’s legs), I am also further concerned about throwing another non-banger into the post alongside Spence.
That said, those are only my interpretations and I could (and likely am) very wrong. Thanks for all the links section, it’s a bunch of very good reading.

I like him too
but mainly cuz he’s Serbian, and Serbs have had a good track record in my memory (completely random uninformed opinion that is most likely very wrong).

He’s a 7ft combo PF/C and pretty good all around.
