Congratulations
... to the Celtics, who made plenty of Kings fans happy with that obliteration.
... to my friends at CelticsBlog and Green Bandwagon, who deserve some fun after that horrendous 2006-07.
... to my (few) Lakers fan friends (here, here, here), who still root for a team with the best roster in the conference.
... to section214, who not only won the BallHype StR group contest , but won the entire fricking thing! His dog knows how to pick'em!
Happy End of the Season, everyone.

YAY!
Watching the Lakers lose is the second best thing in basketball, behind watching the Kings win. I LOVE IT!
I couldn't agree more!
I know a few Lakers’ fans who have been insufferable for a couple of weeks now (in a joking around way) so today was a beautiful day. Almost better than watching the game last night and both giggling and tearing up. Man, I wish that had been the Kings…

It's interesting for me
When I first started watching basketball, way back before the Sacramento Kings, I was a Lakers fan. Then when we got the Kings, we sucked so bad it was easy to like both. Kings fan and then when the playoffs start, Lakers fan. So I was for the Lakers for all those finals battles in the 80s.
When the Lakers got Shaq and Kobe, I was no longer a Lakers fan in any way. I think it had more to do with Kobe than with us getting goo. To be fair I never really like MJ either. I always thought he was kind of an ass and not someone I’d like to have as a teammate. Kobe is all that to the nth degree.
So it was very strange rooting for the Celts over the Lakers, and there was never any doubt, who I was for. It was just strange.
Grats to Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Shaq. And to Kobe, Hah! Couldn’t happen to a bigger tool. It was also nice to see 9 rings Phil get out coached.

With you to the letter
I followed Lew Alcindor/Kareem Abdul Jabbar from UCLA to Milwaukee to L.A., and I was a fan of wherever he was. It was easy to do that when the Kings first arrivd here, because it was as though they were playing in two different leagues. When Kareem retired I was done being a Lakers fan.
I never thought that I would catch myself rooting for the Celtics, but much in the same way that I would root for the Yankees to beat the Dodgers, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Boston throttle the Kobe’s.

Another reason for the spots guy to be even more annoying...
I will now light myself on fire.

And yes
I also hate the lakers, so I guess I would take an annoying sports guy over an annoying laker fan any day. Also, check out the brian scalabrine post game press conference on youtube. pretty solid.

( Burp ) Laker Fans are Annoying
all Season Long they have Been Mouthing Off all Season Long ( Burp ) and they got what they Deserve. THe Odds According to Yahoo rumors for the 2009 is Lakers 5-1 and My Beloved Kings 100-1 ( Burp ) I Personally feel that ( Burp ) it’s a Misprint. It should Read Kings 5-1 and Lakers ( Burp ) 100-1.
Now I understand your nickname intimately
