2008 StR Community Draft Board: Pick #16

DeAndre Jordan runs away, which is good, because at least now we know he can run. (I kid.)

Chad Ford....

just picked Mario Chalmers for the Kings when D.J. Augustin was availible. I am so confuzzled.

by moproblemz on Jun 24, 2008 1:02 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Be aware...

...that Ford also just made a reference to his “beloved Jayhawks.” That might give you a clue as to his bias over DJ (and others) and why he has the Kings taking Chalmers as early as 12.

Also beware that Ford gets to put out like 95 different mock drafts...

he might have got it right once.

I can't understand your disdain

Other than getting trade rumor’s wrong that can’t happen, and talking about players in context’s he doesn’t quite understand (like talking about poorly Durant played this season for instance), and talking about what the Kings need desperately, he seems to be an okay guy in terms of NBA knowledge.

CDR!

Trade Artest and Salmons, trade the 2 2nd rounders for R Lopez. boomshizzle.

*DISCALIMER: I know nothing of draft value. Hell, I just proposed signing Kwame Brown. My opinion means nothing.

Kwame Brown is good for getting things off the tall shelf

Do you think we could sign him for less than the cost of a ladder?

you don’t value those items.

Go Bears!

Draft Anderson.

Hmmmmm
DeAndre Jordan runs away, which is good, because at least now we know he can run.
Can we hopefully the same about Mr Hibbert? (I kid I kid. No amount of kidding can help that guy run.)

Gak! Hibbert???

My vote for biggest bust in the draft this year.
Don’t like his game.
Don’t like his name.
Most importantly, don’t like his face.

In my TOTALLY unscientific (and probably rude)opinion, the best players’ names usually end with a hard consonant: Jordan, Pippen, Bird, Johnson, Olajuwon, Duncan, Howard, Kidd, etc. Most players that stink or disappoint it usually have a drawn out vowel or soft consonant: Webber, Stojakovic, Christie, Divac, Williams, Bibby. OR.. Tarpley, Nowitzki, Ewing, Odom, Etc. The other factor is ugly. There have been a few pug-uglies to make it to star/HOF status: Bird, Cassell(damn!), McHale,

On the flip side: Doug Christie, Popeye Jones, Olden Polynice, Bo Outlaw, Shawn Bradley, Deke, Etc.

Just for laughs fellas!

Help

Can someone who voted for Rush (31!! of you so far), a shooting guard, tell me please why you think he is a better pick for the Kings over Chalmers, Anderson, Ajinca, Hibbert, Koufos and Thompson. He keeps getting a lot of votes but not one comment about why.

He can shoot, and he looks great in a suit. Hey, everybody - It's REGGIE TIME!
