Go Go Hibbert!
I’ll be a happy boy if the team gets a solid PG at 12 and picks up an additional first rounder to grab Hibbert. Or just grabs Hibbert at 12 and resigns Beno.
By the way, big props to TZ and Section (and the fanposters who have been frontpaged the last few days) for the massive amount of content here of late. This site is truly the informational Mecca for serious Kings fans.

Not one Kansas player going in the top ten?
Seems to be a mock draft consensus. Strange though that no mock drafters think there is a single player from the reigning National Champions worthy of going in the top ten. What’s the precedence on this? Anyone?

This wasn’t a mock. It was a desire of preference.
Also, can you find a mock draft anywhere right now that has a Jayhawk going top ten? Ford, DX, NBADraft.net, HoopsWorld, SI, FOXSports, SBNation … on no planet is Arthur, Rush, or Chalmers a top-10 pick right now.

"Mock draft consensus" equaled Ford, DX, NBADraft, SI, etc
Not SactownRoyalty’s “desire of preference.” I didn’t vote for a single Kansas kid either. I just thought it was a strange scenario having a consensus from mock drafters that winning a national championship was not an endeavour great enough to push one of said team’s players into the top ten. That whole “winning attitude” quality that people talk about did not seem to be enough to make that happen.

Sum > Parts
I think this is a case of Kansas being a very good team without having a SUPERSTAR player on the roster. Arthur, Rush, & Chalmers are all projected as Top 20 guys, so that’s still pretty impressive.

Off the top of my head
Ithink that Corliss was the highest Arkansas Razorback drafted (#13 in 1995) after they won the title in ‘94 and finished 2nd to UCLA in ‘95. I could be wrong.

Oh Boy!
This is going to be a fun day. I can’t wait. These are my final picks. As of 9:30 anyway:
12th pick: DJ Augustin
42nd: Mike Taylor (If Sean Singletary is on the board I pray they take him instead)
43rd: Reggie Williams or Othello Hunter (If Richard Hendrix is on the board here I would be PISSED if Petrie did not take him)
He can shoot, and he looks great in a suit. Hey, everybody - It's REGGIE TIME!
