Richard Jefferson Traded for Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons
According to Chad Ford:
The Bucks and Nets have also done a deal that could have a big impact on the draft
The Bucks are sending Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons to New Jersey for Richard Jefferson, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.
That means the Bucks may be less likely to take Joe Alexander at No. 8. He's a small forward like Jefferson and they may decide to go with a guard now -- either Russell Westbrook or Jerryd Bayless.
The Nets have the No. 10 and No. 21 picks. It's unclear how this will affect their draft picks. We'll keep digging.
If the Bucks are now in the market for a point guard, it may negate any advantage we gained when Indiana acquired T.J. Ford.

Except
that New Jersey now needs a wing man. Hopefully they will go with Gallinari.

Yi...
I know he is going into his second year, but what are the thoughts on this guy? he seems pretty arrogant and didn’t do much his first year. i am not a “tools” guy. i know some of you have a better grip on those things. but for me its whether you perform. Kevin Martin doesn’t have the prototypical shooting style, but it goes thru the net. from what i saw of Yi last year, not much went thru the net. anyway, thoughts on Yi?

He could still become a player
This trade is actually Richard Jefferson for Simmons and Yi and a player to be named later…LeBron James in 2010.

Gallinari
might go to the Knicks at 6, but if not I think the Nets will definitely take him. New Jersey has reportedly already talked to Gallinari, he’s probably higher on their draft board than Alexander, and he’s certainly the more polished, NBA ready-player.
Boy, I would love to see Joe Alexander playing home games at Arco Arena.
