Artest Telling The Sacramento Bee He May Opt Out
Sam Amick is reporting that Artest emailed the Bee saying he indeed may opt out. Artest needs to make up his mind already. This is not really breaking news for anybody.

i'm so sick of this
in, out, in crap.
I hope he opts out, and gets Bonzi’d on this deal.
But then we would get nothing. And I don’t like that either.

"I made a 100 degree turnaround."
By my calculations, If he was heading north he’s now on his way to the Warriors. ;p

Artest
I think he just read all the draft posts and wanted some love.

seriously....
while i think his email is just “ron being ron” there is NO upside for the Kings if he leaves and we get nothing… even if he’s not part of our plan in the future we HAVE to get something don’t we?

What's New Really?
We heard it over and over, wouldn’t be surprise if there’s another thing we’ll hear about this today.
I wish Ron would give us something in writing saying he'll stay with us.
At least then we can have the option of trading him.
And this would make a difference how?
We’re talking about Ron Artest here.

He'd probably change his minde 3
times while writing the letter.

Petrie
Unfortunately, he has to draft assuming that neither Beno or Artest will be around, which would seem to make getting another first-round pick a priority if he can.

Maybe
The Kings will deal Artest to the Spurs for the No. 26 pick and something (a power forward). Ideally the Spurs would trade that 26 pick to someone else that drafts higher and also covets Artest.

I'm not even sure if this is possible
But how about Artest (plus maybe a 2nd) for Ian Mahini and the 26th (plus filler). Mahini could be something special.

isn't SA over the cap?
If not, Tony, Manu, Ron, Timmy gets ‘em a ring, IF ronnie doesn’t blow up (but hell, Steve Jacko was great under them, so who knows).
