PrintThanks to the shrewd selection of Sean Singletary in the 2nd round, Ball In Cup has won the StR Draft Contest. Honorable mention to darknight and LPKIngsFan for selecting Jason Thompson, even though they took him with the bonus 1st round pick.
I am amazed that nobody had Patrick Ewing Jr. on their list.
Ball In Cup, you just won a brand new Chrysler Cordova and you can pick it up at Morty's office yet to be designed StR t-shirt, which TZ will send you as soon as it is available.
Congratulations, Cup. And thanks to everyone that participated.

First I would like to thank TZ and Section for holding this contest. Second I would like to thank the Pacers for grabbing Bayless, because had he been on the board for the 12th pick he surely would have become a King and then we likely wouldn’t have drafted a point in the second round. starting to get choked up Third, I would like to thank Petrie for blindsiding everyone and therefore giving me a chance. music starts playing Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank beer because it enhances my blogging experience. full on tears I love this blog!

in all honesty, this is a bittersweet victory. Let’s hope Bayless becomes a bust and Singletary is a sleeper. I’m taking this draft day better than I probably would otherwise because I can say “at least I won a t-shirt, at least i won a t-shirt”.
Then the shirt shoud be designed to read
“The Kings drafted Sean Singletary and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”

Man, I’m groggy and disoriented. I had this horrible dream we drafted a guy who would probably be available if we had traded down. And that Portland worked out a trade to completely f*ck us over. Oh, and we drafted an Ewing. Is this Groundhog’s Day? Why didn’t Stern have a mustache? That was Sonny and Cher this morning. Ahhhhh! It’s the 80!

It's odd...
But on Wednesday night I read a few articles on sacbee.com, which I rarely ever do, and the same commenter had posted in every thread (and multiple times in each thread) that the Kings were going to select Jason Thomas. I wrote him off as a lune, but now I can’t believe he got it right and nobody here had him at 12.
