Thompson Signs
via ESPN
The Sacramento Kings signed first-round pick Jason Thompson on Tuesday.
Thompson, a forward-center from Rider, was the 12th overall pick in last month's draft. He will make about $3.9 million in the first two years of his deal, with two years of team options worth more than $5.1 million.
Thompson finished a four-year career at Rider with averages of 16.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. He will play on Sacramento's summer league team in Las Vegas starting this weekend.
These rookie scale deals might be less stressful, but it was laughable back in the day with the deals Penny and Webber signed. So we can't sign Thompson for 16 years?

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on
