Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia couldn't stay away. Both suited up and are periodically jumping in with the 18 players on the Las Vegas roster.

Melody Gutierrez on the scene at the opening practice for the summer league team here in Sacramento. I love these kids.

Move to Seattle

You’ll think 80 degrees is blazing hot after a winter here.

(I'm really kidding)

I know the air quality down there is utterly awful.

Beer_man

He’s the beer man. He’s posting when he’s drunk.

Which explains, but in no way excuses.

It’s like I tell my kids, it’s bad enough when you’re annoying on accident. You should never be annoying on purpose.

Amen

Besides many of us post when we’ve had a drink or two (or more). We don’t need to feel the need to print (burp!) every time we drink.

Beno's there too!

From Amick:

Udrih won’t waste time getting started. He opted against playing for the Slovenian national team this summer, instead deciding to head for the Las Vegas summer league Friday. Udrih won’t play for the Kings but will begin a training regimen with team strength and conditioning coach Daniel Shapiro.

“(The contract) comes with a lot of responsibility,” Udrih said. “I feel that, and I’m going to go try to get better and get in the best shape for once training camp starts.”

I thought the Slovenian team

made the Olympics. If they did, it says a lot about his commitment to the Kings.

We’re shaping up to have a good, tight-knit core of young players.

I believe they’re competing in the pre-Olympic qualifying tournament in Athens this month.

Still

That shows a pretty high level of commitment, to forego the Olympic experience.

I’m excited. I think it’s going to be a good year.

Own Post

The story about Beno skipping the Olympic qualifier should have its own post for all the “haters” (don’t we love that word) to show his commitment to the Kings. Isn’t that what we are looking for. He wants to get better…

Good attitude

Look forward to seeing Beno play this year. Only 3 1/2 more months!
