It's time ... for Hornet football! The premiere game of the 2008 season, against Humboldt State, is tonight at 6. You can read all about it here. If you're an embarrassed State alum like me, feel free to commiserate in this thread. If anyone knows of an actual Hornets blog, let me know and I'll be happy to redirect people there instead of hosting discussion here.

so...
Did you happen to hear that Sports Illustrated ranked Sac State as having the 36th best college athletic program in the nation?
I went there for undergrad, and still go there as part of the MBA program, and I have never been to a single athletic event.
That makes more sense.
I’ve been to hoops and football games, and even volleyball. But yeah… not a pretty program.
Stanford usually has the highest rated "sports" program
That doesn’t have anything to do with the money college sports: Men’s Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s basketball or Men’s track & field/baseball.

My Alma Mater As Well
Funny…I have a degree on my wall from Sac State too; and yet, I never attended a sporting event there either — I probably went to a couple Causeway Classics at UC Davis.

Driving outta the 916 to watch sports is unforgivable
Unless you’re watching the Elephantz. :)
